Wow at BMTH at Number 1. Hope it can become a hit and not a here today gone tomorrow like Union J as it's about time a proper rock track became a proper long running hit.

Bring Me the Horizon at #1 and it's not even that much of a 'sell out' record. Proves rock bands can get high peaking tracks if they hold back the release for a bit. Hoping it can be a T10 hit for them now, certainly deserves to be.

Holy mackerel! I didn't see that iTunes No1 coming in a million years tbh!

Good to see Oliver Heldens off to a very strong start , although it seems he's doomed when it comes to topping the iTunes chart!

Surprised Mark Ronson/Sony are letting X Factor eat into their sales of 'Uptown Funk'...

i'm so happy for oli&co.

Surely BMTH can't stay up that long. I didn't even know there was a YM@6 type fanbase for them. I'd love it if that got to number 1 though. We need that kind of variety in the chart. BMTH this week and Gorgon City next would be stunning.

Jeez never thought I see BMTH at #1 :o never saw that coming.

It does sound like a 30 Seconds to Mars track in places.

10. Yours - Ella Henderson :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Top10 again for Ella and still dark green.

BMTH this week and Coldplay next would be stunning.

I've corrected that for you :kink:

Though it would be good to see Gorgan City get to Number 1. I'm not too sure how well that'll do if I'm honest. Hopefully Top 40.

Bring Me The Horizon will surely get huge streaming if it's a rock song? So that will probably help it.

Literally speechless at Bring Me The Horizon being #1 on iTunes, they're about the last act I'd have ever expected to see up there. Really hope they can hold up a bit and get a decent final position with this song (perhaps it could even be an Iron Maiden 'Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter' esque shock #1??? Nah).
Is the new Coldplay track even anywhere to hear yet?

Not that I know of, but they normally release OA/OS.

Just listened to the iTunes clip of 'Drown', I've definitely heard it before (probably on Radio 1). I really liked quite a few of these rock songs recently, loving 'Ten Tonne Skeleton' right now too!

It's absolutely incredible to see Bring Me The Horizon at #1, I've never really been a fan of them before but this song is purely incredible.

Hopefully we'll see it Top 10 (maybe even top 5 in my wildest dreams) on Sunday

 27. Fifth Harmony - Bo$$

Well isn't this a remarkable success so far - just imagine if they had airplay support, they could be massive here!

I don't like this Bring Me The Horizon song at all but am glad such a different sound from the usual pop rubbish is at the top, especially that it pushed Blank Shite down. Now here's hoping that the utterly vile Echosmith track doesn't follow suit next week.
