Actually These Days is growing on me. It's still a simple pop ditty but it kind of gained me slightly.

Song info

"Do They Know It's Christmas?" is a song written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in 1984 to raise money for relief of the 1983–85 famine in Ethiopia. The original version was produced by Midge Ure and released by Band Aid on 28 November 1984.

At a press conference on 10 November 2014, Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure announced that in 2014 a group of artists would again come together to re-record the song, this time under the banner of 'Band Aid 30' and in aid of the Ebola crisis. It was released on the following Monday, 17 November, just 11 days short of the 30th anniversary of the release of the original version of the track. - iTunes

Discussion Thread Here

Decent enough for Band Aid but Asda must be gutted that they paid upfront for 250k physicals, when it must have only sold around 60k this week perhaps (presumably only a proportion of those from Asda!)

Some of the guests are really good on this while some (*cough* Sinead) rather less so.

They really need to make a brand new song though, this is getting a bit tiresome.

If it wasn't for Sinead O'Connor's part, this version of "Do They Know..." would be better than the previous one.

I'm surprised it fell to number 3.

I admit I popped this in with my food shop on Friday, it has Band Aid II on it. No longer snubbed forever!?! :o *.*

Sinead O'Connor is trully dreadful, she lost her little voice she had...

I still wish this was much more upbeat. I prefer God Only Knows and Wake Me Up
I can't imagine Band Aid's CD singles would've passed 70k really, doesn't look like this will come anywhere near a million. Yikes, think this can be brushed under the rug as a bit of a whimper overall like Band Aid II, however much money it has raised.
Take That still holding on strong in the Top 5. Shame the album is flopping. :(

LOL You can't be serious? III had one of the strongest opening sales of the year and will go platinum in two weeks.
