BBC Radio 2 have given it a spin - looks like it'll get decent radio support as Capital have already started playing it a bit too (plus BBC Radio 1 track of the day not long ago). 5 weeks until the release. Should be another top 10 hit for Kelly, but the fact the pre-order didn't enter the top 1500 when it was BBC Radio 1's track of the day is a little concerning.

'Heartbeat Song' has the potential to get higher, it's just 'cos it's new and the others are held so high in my affections. 'Mr. Know It All' is the only poor one.

 

'Catch My Breath' has grown to become my second favourite Kelly song behind 'Since U Been Gone' since its release, so underrated! An undeserved flop.

It's catchy but it's missing a punch for me to really elevate me from really liking it and loving it, I agree with comments that the chorus (production wise, not melody wise because like I say it's catchy as hell) feels a bit disappointing.

 

She's so good with hooks though, you can always guarantee she's gonna deliver a song that sticks with you even after one listen. I think I just need to give this one about 2 more listens to love it for what it is as opposed to what it isn't.

Well this is a little unexciting isn't it? Definitely falls flat.

I am really gutted this wasn't playlisted on R1 this week. I was really expecting it to be. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed though as there is still a very small chance they'll do a late play-listing next week.

I thought it was "for a long time" too but now that it says "lifetime" on the video that's all I hear :lol:

I found it too difficult to rank her lead singles. I absolutely adore both 'Mr. Know It All' and 'Catch My Breath' though, both of which seem to be a little underrated / get "meh" responses from a lot of fans.

 

(Very surprised to see a couple of people put 'CMB' on top and 'MKIA' at the very bottom, because to me they're both on a very similar level)

Mr Know It All is her most underrated single I'd argue :wub: It gets a harder time than it should, I love it. It was so instant but also a huge grower if that makes sense :lol: It's just "only" her 4th best lead because Never Again, My Life and Breakaway slay so much it's hard to overcome them.

Never has my desire for a song to do well been so at odds with my appreciation of said song! :drama:

 

Kelly's a great personality and popstar but this is so amateur, uninspired and got boring incredibly quickly :(. Her talent should be being heard on much better material.

This is exactly how I feel. I really want it to do well because I love her as a popstar - but it's just really not a great song.
