I remember when they started doing the Chart Update top 3 at the beginning of the show. Gangnam Style had been #3 on the Chart Update, and I briefly believed it was #40, subsequently down 37 places. I cannot tell how disappointed I was when I realised it was actually a non-mover.
I wish they started playing the top 40 at the very start, and announce the top 10 albums instead to fill in the time.
Well, now they don't the Wednesday Chart Update top 3 anymore. They play last week's top 3 instead.

They've been doing that for a few weeks now.. they finally realised that giving away the result at the top of the show wasn't the smartest idea.

Am I seriously the only person who likes "Gangnam Style" here? >:(
Praying the dropout this week will be Idina, especially as she was no.40 last week, but she doesn't seem to want to leave!

Biography

Rather than the usual bombast or snooze-inducing "relaxation music," the U.K. six-piece known as Clean Bandit mash classical music and pop forms for an airy and dreamy yet driven sound that's like the chamber music version of house music. The core four-piece of the group were known as the Chatto Quartet, a classically trained string quartet that performed J.S. Bach and cited Jacqueline du Pré as an influence, but their post-show, wind-down music often consisted of garage, two-step, Craig David, and Arcade Fire tracks. The quartet members were aware of both producer Jon Wandeck and MC Ssegamic through the duo's work in photography, and when Wandeck suggested they play on one of his house music cuts, Clean Bandit were born. With MC Ssegamic on the mike, they released the classical-meets-house-meets-hip-hop-meets-heartbreak song "Telephone Banking" in the summer of 2011. Their Dance Armstrong mixtape followed in 2012, while 2013 saw the release of their Mozart's House EP. - iTunes

Discussion Thread Here

I wish they started playing the top 40 at the very start, and play the top 10 albums instead to fill in the time.

I'd like them to play a couple new entries outside the top 40 at the beginning, and a couple tracks from the album chart before the top 20 to mix it up a bit. It's so boring when there's only a couple of new tracks to play each week. I'd do some editing down on tracks that have been in the chart for yonks to save time.

Few songs are remotely as catchy ^_^

Fun fact: if Idina is the dropout (looks likely IMO if Clean Bandit are at #40!), then the average number of weeks in the top 40 of the top 40 will go down even though there's only one new entry.

Count me in!

funny Rather Be - Clean Bandit Ft Jess Glynne #1, 1 year ago, #40 today.

I hope Clara isn't going to announce every track as "in at" whether it's a new entry or not, because that will become irritating quickly.
