Oh I do hope so! Not many previously unknown acts can gain such a roaring interest in them after just one performance and that's just testimony to how talented she is!

 

I'm guessing she'll be assigned to Best International Female though, as 'the queens' are her dancers rather than other singers or musicians.

Surely there's a performance slot for them? That would REALLY do wonders for them.

FINALLY a new single, “Tilted” was a hit on my personal chart in February and since then I've been waiting for them to push ANYTHING else!

iT was a no1 on mine when radio 1 playlisted it briefly before Tilted was performed - then Tilted was no1 last month as it was a slow burner for me.

 

If she performed on XF or something this Christmas she would explode properly!!

I LOVED the original Saint Claude much more so than I did the original version of Tilted (Christine), so I perhaps can't connect with this new version as easily (not that I didn't like Christine, but hearing it again in english language actually made me feel the might of the lyrics a bit more), but it still sounds really fab, such a gorgeous, heart rendering song and real highlight from the album :heart:

OMG 'Saint Claude' is my favourite song of the album so I am SO here for that being the next single :wub:

 

Also +1 for a Brits nod/performance! Her blowing up was one of the most exciting things to happen in music this year.

The crowd at Latitude was massive, literally could not get in the 6Music tent and she seemed to be overwhelmed and taken by surprise by all the support - it was actually very heartening to see. Great performance too!

i wish it was the french version of this being pushed as it is SUCH a beautiful song! she must be a shoe-in for best female at the BRITS surely.

Given the Track of the Day treatment by Radio 1 so looks dead certain to be the next international single :cheer:

Big music breakthroughs from new artists have been far and few between on the last 12 months, but one act who has undoubtedly caught the attention of the UK in 2016 is Christine & The Queens.

 

The French singer-songwriter - real name Héloïse Letissier - has been a mainstay on the Official Singles Chart for the last six months with her debut UK single Titled, thanks in part to some notable performances including Later With Jools Holland and Glastonbury.

 

Meanwhile, the singer's debut album Chaleur Humaine peaked at Number 2 and, notably, went on to become the UK's biggest debut record of 2016.

 

In fact, Christine's album is the only debut released in 2016 to finish inside the Official Top 40 biggest albums of 2016
