Helloooooo and welcome to the first edition of the newly-revived "Song Of The Month"! A game hosted by Chez Wombat through 2011, but after he left that job behind, it was soon forgotten about.........until now! :o

 

I guess you could say it's more of a 'test round' for now to see how many people are interested. We'll wait and see how that holds up by the end of the year x

 

HOW THIS WORKS-

 

So as some of you will remember; Song Of The Month sees a bunch of new Top 40 hits from the previous month (for example here; songs that were either given their single release during January, or first charted inside the Top 40 in January), splits them into two groups and allows you to rank them. So of course while it is typically geared solely around songs that make the Official Top 40, if I feel like the list could be stretched to include more songs (in the case of there being a lack of new appearances), some tracks that made it into the Sales-only Top 40 (but presumably shoved out by streaming), or even ended up just outside of that can also qualify.

 

As for the ranking; vote in both Group A and B, listing the songs in order of preference with your FAVOURITE at the top and LEAST FAVOURITE at the bottom~
