What I'd do for Madonna to go Top 10

Following three weeks of 100k+ 'sales' and showing no signs of significantly slowing down, Ellie Goulding should achieve a fourth week at #1 with 'Love Me Like You Do' - which would make it her longest run at the top spot. The Top 10 should also see Kelly Clarkson's 'Heartbeat Song' debut and David Guetta/Emeli Sande's 'What I Did for Love' enter following its heavy usage on Friday night's Eastenders. Elsewhere, Disciples' 'They Don't Know' should debut whilst several songs should re-enter/climb the chart following the BRIT Awards on Wednesday, including a possible Top 40 debut for Madonna's 'Living for Love' which is released on Thursday.

The BRIT Awards will probably send Sam, Ed or George back to #1 as well as several other albums back high in the chart. However, Led Zeppelin's re-release of their 1975 album Physical Graffiti and Chris Brown and Tyga's collaborative album Fan of a Fan may still enter the Top 10. Other potential new entries include Black Star Riders's The Killer Instinct, Public Service Broadcasting's The Race for Space, Scorpions's Return to Forever and Big Sean's Dark Sky Paradise.

I doubt Madonna will go top10 at all, when its finally released later this week.
I doubt Madonna will go top10 at all, when its finally released later this week.

She would have a shot at Top 10 if she'd released on a Monday but can't see it following a Thursday release. Then again, stranger things have happened and the BRITS do tend to throw up the odd chart surprise, so who knows

I don't think she will go top 40.

I'm very interested to see how streaming affects the album chart this week. I think Ed will be #1, Sam #2 (although he will probably be higher than Ed in today's midweek update), with Chris Brown and Tyga entering at #3 and George climbing to #4. I don't think it would be surprising to see the Chris Brown and Tyga album at the top in today's update, actually.

I think the #1 album is between Sam & Ed, the reminder of the top 5 will probably feature George, Taylor and Paloma Faith or Royal Blood, it they win the group nomination.
Madonna has no chance of going top ten.. top 40 is a possibility but she must blown everyone away by her performance which I doubt'll happen. The demand just isn't there.

As for Madonna I really don't know how its going to go, her performance better be out of this world for maximum impact, as for the single release its a bit of a disaster really.

Sadly I don't think Madonna stands a chance - why they are releasing on Thursday I can't imagine, it won't even be available for impulse buyers right after the Brits. Crazy.

I also tend to think the addition of streaming works against artists with an older average fanbase. I'd love to be wrong but I can see it missing the chart altogether. Hopefully the album will still do well...I think if Ghost Town is to be the second single as I've heard, it could get better airplay at least.

They should have done a Monday release at least. Madonna only has herself to blame for quite possibly her best song in ages to miss the top 40. Although don't they release live versions of the song as well, if so that could help ensure a top 40 placing. It really deserves to outpeak 'Gimme All Ur Lovin' at least :(

Something New for a preferable top 30 please! If not top 20 but I doubt streaming will support it.

Ellie Goulding still number 1, Kelly Clarkson 2, Guetta up to 4 on the back of a cheese anecdote (apparently).

Kelly! I hope this means she's safe enough to be top 7 at least, with a Brits effect/weekend effect (songs overtaking her and not her benefitting obvz) etc... come on Kelly!
Led Zeppelin's re-release at #1 in albums  The pre-orders will make up the bulk of its sales and I expect it to sell pretty much next to nothing throughout the remainder of the week, though. I'm guessing Sam and Ed are #2 and #3, but I'm not sure who could be completing the top five. Sadly Imagine Dragons's sales will have trailed off badly, I think.

Wow - quite the achievement for Kelly!

Awful for Charli's album considering she's having a second hit single from it.

Good to see the Chris Brown/Tyga album doing well, the songs I've heard from it have been decent. Doubt its gonna hold up though.
