March 12, 201510 yr Love it on first listen, and that doesn't happen too often with me! Anyone think this has a chance of No. 1 if May 10th is a quiet week?
March 12, 201510 yr How is it country? It's just like a blend of OneRepublic and The Vamps with a bit of their own sound. You were always going to hate it though  you went in with a negative opinion so set it up for hatred. No different to those who stan Lawson (somehow) loving it predictably :P they do have one just about song (Learn To Love Again) so they're not totally incapable.
March 12, 201510 yr It's just like a blend of OneRepublic and The Vamps with a bit of their own sound. <_< Don't think The Vamps are any basis for comparison when 'Wild Heart' was a total rip off - both video and single - of 'Taking Over Me'...

March 12, 201510 yr Good lord this is ABYSMAL. Even for them, seriously :manson: Thanks Totto for playing this on plug so I know to avoid it now :kink: Don't thank me please :(.
March 12, 201510 yr Just listening to it again and I can hear a lot of comparison to Angel in Blue Jeans by Train as well. I'm a sucker for liking the whole country pop sound that seems to be around atm. Timber, Wild Heart and this lol :P
March 12, 201510 yr I like it in a poundstretcher version of One Republic meets Mumford & Sons sort of way. It's not anything new or innovative (not that I wasn't expecting it to be) but it isn't as basic or as predictable as I thought it'd be for them (I thought they were gonna go down the 'Juliet'/'Brokenhearted', tinny rock pop sound again). It's nice though.
March 12, 201510 yr You were always going to hate it though  you went in with a negative opinion so set it up for hatred. Couldn't agree with this more! I am a fan of the lyrics, especially the chorus! :D
March 12, 201510 yr <_< Don't think The Vamps are any basis for comparison when 'Wild Heart' was a total rip off - both video and single - of 'Taking Over Me'... I really don't think The Vamps would rip-off some blink-and-you'll-miss-it song like that. The song isn't *bad* but it's not one of their best. I think I find his voice quite grating oops. Shame cause I liked their previous three singles (Learn to Love Again, Brokenhearted and Juliet).

March 14, 201510 yr The song is kind of average, listenable enough I guess. This is how I'm feeling on first listen. Not terrible and not amazing. I think that's why Lawson have failed to really solidify their position in the industry. Their songs are "nice" but never amazing. Well, bar Learn To Love Again, which I had no idea was a Buzzjack favorite!

March 15, 201510 yr The song is kind of average, listenable enough I guess. Feeling the same way on first listen. For me, definitely their least good single.
March 17, 201510 yr According to the XFM website, Lawson - The Roads has been to their daytime playlist, I did not see that coming at all  http://www.xfm.co.uk/playlist/daytime/
March 19, 201510 yr This has grown on me quite a bit! This should hopefully give them another Top 10.
March 20, 201510 yr My dad thinks this sounds a bit like KT Tunstall 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree' having played it to him. I think he may have a point (in a good way). Still LOVING this.
March 20, 201510 yr The new song is ok. Its quite catchy but not as strong as some of their other singles and doubt it will help them to build on the success of their first era.
