I didn't realise that was happening with singles as well. Interesting.

Rather annoying that pre-orders are no longer being added in the singles and album charts. It just means that songs are going to have a much slower starts again.

If it's the same rule as the album chart, the pre-orders go towards the official chart still but it doesn't affect the position of the song on iTunes anymore.

The pre-orders were added into the Itunes chart when they were purchased. I always thought it was a bit of a fudge that they got added in again when the pre-order was turned into an actual purchase, so am glad this change was made.
