The steel drums in this are lush  I didn't expect this to chart so high at all, it seemed to come from nowhere, but a nice surprise.

Yep, Avicii confirmed it a few days ago. But it will be NOT the song we know from some festival stuff from Avicii. It's a brand new one.

Kylie Minogue also had two different songs with the exact same. Her usual 2002 single "Love At First Sight" was also the title of a track from her debut album Kylie.

When The Beat Drops Out :music: wonder why Anti Hero didn't released... our radio stations were flooded in 2012-13 by Marlon.

Biography

Kelly Brianne Blackstock (née Clarkson; born April 24, 1982), is an American singer-songwriter and occasional actress. In 2002, she came to prominence after winning the first season of American Idol, and has since been established as "The Original American Idol". Her debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and broke the record for the biggest jump to number one in the chart's history; it became the best-selling single of the year in the country.[citation needed] She became the runner-up of World Idol the following year.

Clarkson's debut studio album, Thankful (2003), has been certified 2× platinum and sold over 4.5 million copies internationally. Its lead single, "Miss Independent", became an international hit, earning Clarkson her first Grammy nomination. She developed a rock-oriented sound with her second album, Breakaway (2004). It was certified 6× platinum and sold over 15 million copies worldwide, earning Clarkson two Grammy Awards, including one for the hit single "Since U Been Gone". She took full creative direction of her third album, My December (2007). Its lead single, "Never Again", became a top ten hit. Clarkson's fourth album, All I Ever Wanted (2009), became a critical and commercial success. Its worldwide hit single, "My Life Would Suck Without You", surpassed "A Moment Like This" for the biggest leap to number one on a single week in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart from number 97, a record it still holds today. Her fifth album, Stronger (2011), generated international chart-topping singles "Mr. Know It All" and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", with the latter being the second-best selling American Idol single to date with over four million downloads in the U.S. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album, making Clarkson the first and only artist to win the award twice. In 2012, Clarkson released Greatest Hits – Chapter One; its lead single, "Catch My Breath", is her twenty-fourth entry on the Hot 100 and her eleventh million-selling single.

Clarkson has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. In a career spanning over a decade, Clarkson has accumulated ninety-one number ones on the Billboard charts, and eleven number one singles worldwide. She is known for her vocal versatility and range. Her music has mainly dealt with themes of heartbreak, independence, and self-empowerment for women and young teens. Apart from her work in music, Clarkson has also ventured into television and film. Clarkson's film debut was in the romantic musical From Justin to Kelly (2003) and she also appeared in American Dreams as Brenda Lee, in Reba, on The Voice as a guest advisor, on Duets as a mentor and judge. Clarkson's musical work has also gained her numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards and a Women's World Award. In 2012, Clarkson was ranked nineteenth on VH1's list of "100 Greatest Women in Music." In 2013, Clarkson was ranked number 105 on Joel Whitburn's "Top 500 Artists Of All Time," and number 75 on Billboard's "Hot 100: Top 100 Artists." Billboard also ranked Clarkson as the 14th-best-selling artist of the 2000s and one of the top 200 album sellers of the Nielsen SoundScan era at number 187. - Wikipedia

I'm starting to really like this. Wasn't impressed on the first few listens, but it's growing.
But "pins and needles on my tongue" is something I will probably not be able to get out of my head for a long time thanks to this. I don't want to even imagine what it's like.

That must surely be a record that such a high proportion of the Top 40 has appeared on a Now album.

What I Did For Love is such an amazing song, thank you EastEnders, if it hadn't received that bump it would have likely done like Pray To God.
So frustrating that David Guetta has been pushed out of the top ten ~ with so much dirge residing in there :(

What I Did For Love is yo-yoing between #7 and #10 on iTunes, yet on the official chart it only reaches #12 this week :(

Biography

Maroon 5 (formerly known as Kara's Flowers) is an American pop rock band that originated in Los Angeles, California. The group was formed in 1994 as Kara's Flowers while its members were still in high school. The original members of the band were: Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick; they signed to Reprise Records and released an album, The Fourth World, in 1997. After a tepid response to the album, the band parted ways with the record label and the members attended college. In 2001, the band regrouped, with James Valentine added to the lineup, and pursued a new direction under the name: Maroon 5.

The band signed with Octone Records and released their debut album, Songs About Jane, in June 2002. The album's lead single "Harder to Breathe", received heavy airplay, which helped the album to debut at number six on the Billboard 200 chart. The album's second and third singles, "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved", became worldwide hits reaching the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. For the next few years, the band toured extensively worldwide in support of Songs About Jane and produced two live recordings: 2004's 1.22.03.Acoustic and 2005's Live – Friday the 13th. In 2006, drummer, percussionist and backing vocalist Ryan Dusick left the band and was replaced by Matt Flynn. The band recorded their second album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, and released in May 2007. The album reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and the lead single, "Makes Me Wonder", became the band's first number-one song on the Billboard Hot 100.

Hands All Over, the band's third studio album was released in September 2010 and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2011, the album was re-released and supported by their single "Moves like Jagger" featuring American singer Christina Aguilera. The song became the band's second single to reach number one on the Hot 100 chart; it has sold over 14.4 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling singles worldwide. The band released their fourth studio album, Overexposed, in June 2012. The album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The first two singles from the album "Payphone" and "One More Night", were both international hits and peaked at two and one on the Hot 100 chart respectively.

In 2014, the band signed Interscope Records and recorded their fifth studio album, V, which is set to be released on September 2, 2014.

Since its debut in 2002, the band has sold more than 10 million albums in the United States and over 30.8 million digital singles and 27 million albums worldwide.

In 2013, Maroon 5 became the third most-played artist on Top 40 Mainstream radio, based on Clear Channel owned Mediabase, becoming one of the most successful acts of Interscope Records. - Wikipedia

Out of the top 10, woo.

Good to see Maroon 5 exiting the top10~ :cheer:
Busy today so haven't been able to catch today's chart (also more mother's day celebrations in a minute) but have just browsed this thread and what a travesty G.R.L didn't make it! Although, thrilled for 'Pray to God' as it was looking at one point of missing the top 40 entirely. 'All of Me' re-entry though :drama: very likely to see chart saviour/murderer (circle where applicable) bookending today's chart then, sigh. :(
Sugar is a nice song, but Maroon 5 aren't who I would like to crash my wedding.
