yes I actually have 5 top 5 semi-final finishes to my name, plus an additional 5 in the semi-final top 10. Naturally my only top 10 finisher is the one that finished highest for me, #3 in the semi.

Wonder - Adventure Club came second with 134 points and 20/29 voters in the semi which is definitely our best.

 

However, our best result in the final (Thinking About It - Just Kiddin) came fourth with 92 points and 15/30 votes in the semi.

I've won the semi-final twice, with Jaymes Young (actually beat Belanger in the semi!) and Kids Of The Apocalypse. My actual final winner Jay Dabhi came 2nd in the semi, MILES behind Mr.Kitty. And I had one other top 2 finish in the semi, with Paris XY's 'The Return' which came 24th in the final and I'm still bitter.

Wonder - Adventure Club came second with 134 points and 20/29 voters in the semi which is definitely our best.

 

However, our best result in the final (Thinking About It - Just Kiddin) came fourth with 92 points and 15/30 votes in the semi.

Marlon Roudette was fabulous, I was VERY surprised it wasn't amongst the top batch cos I loved it right away and it's yet to drop out of my charts since I first heard it (currently 5). Still, last laugh and all that now it's a big hit :yahoo:

I've had something like 6 SF winners. Bit insane really considering I've only had 1 winner and rather ironically that was during the 1BF era.

Flight Facilties' 'I Didn't Believe' came top 5 in the semi with almost 100 points yet only finished 23rd and now MOWE which I see now has gone from top 5>22nd in the final, I'd mainly be happy with those placings as they're better than bottom 5 but seeing that really sucks :( Un Nouveau Soleil has alas been the only one of my entries that's done really well in the semi and then replicated that in the final.

NERVO and Ask Embla won their semis I believe? (Bray/Ryan should know this at the very least).

It's quite MIRACULOUS my recent Q streak didn't end earlier, 7/12 that competed in a semi finished in a double-figure position in the semi :lol:

I've had SEVEN semi victories to date, only ONE of which was an overall winner (|||||). Blonde came THIRD, madly. The rest were all POP STOMPERS so didn't have wide enough appeal I guess.

And BOTH times you've denied me from qualifying because I was the next closest to qualify. Poor Antti (has there even been a foreign language male rock ballad in the final before?) and Flutterwonder, would have been amazing final entries.

The Charlies only won the semi on a tiebreak :lol: But the two songs ahead in the final were from the opposite semi. I do know I have never won a semi-final and rarely have come top 10 in one. My only winner to date (BJSC 81's Allie X - Sanctuary) came 2nd in its semi. Ladytron -

Destory Everything You Touch from BJSC 11 (!!!) came 8th in the semi before coming 4th in the final, 'Ankara' from 93 came 6th in the semi before coming 11th in the final and 'Falcons' from 99 came 5th in the semi before also coming 11th in the final (I had a bit of an 11th place curse last year haha). Pretty sure everything else has been either a DNQ or just kinda got through in a forgettable position...
