Matija Sarkic, Montenegro international and Millwall goalkeeper has passed away at 26.
I remember Kevin Campbell scoring about 60 goals in one season for the Arsenal youth team. He never quite fulfilled that early promise but had a good career. RIP

Former England and Surrey batter Graham Thorpe has died aged 55, it has been announced.

Thorpe played 100 Tests for England between 1993 and 2005, as well as 82 one-day internationals.

A stylish left-handed batter, he scored 6,744 Test runs for England, including 16 centuries, at an average of 44.66.

I mostly remember him batting alongside Graeme Hick back in the day.

R.I.P. Graham Thorpe.

Definitely a sad loss to the football world today. Sven-Göran Eriksson RIP. :(

I wonder if this one will make an appearance today;

Though for me, I'm more fond of the iconic lyric from Ant & Dec;

Send an SOS, a country's in need

Sven's the man, he's got a plan, we've found a super Swede

A nation re-united and England comes alive

Golden balls is captain and Heskey makes it five

R.I.P Sven. I've known this was coming ever since he said a few months ago he had terminal cancer and "a year at best to live". He will forever be remembered in English football history.

Everton worked for BBC TV for more than 30 years from the 1970s onwards and was a respected broadcaster and journalist.

He was founder of the Snooker Scene magazine and edited the publication for 51 years.

A statement from the World Snooker Tour (WST) said he was "one of snooker's greatest ever commentators and voice of the sport".

It added: "Everton devoted his life to snooker and covered some of the sport's most historic moments as a broadcaster and journalist."

Players at the British Open in Cheltenham this week are competing for the Clive Everton Trophy, which was named in his honour two years ago, and a minute's silence was held before Friday afternoon's session.
