That was most certainly NOT Hot Chip haha, rapper Chipmunk just goes by the name 'Chip' now and they teamed up!

Oh that wasn't Michael Jackson who was screaming the "We Are Your Friends" thing? Or was it? Still confused tbh

Many thanks to all the hosts throughout the day. Thanks, particularly to Jade for organising it and for her stamina throughout the day. Thanks, also to Ultraviolence for the banners (and her stamina too).

:cheer:

I am surprised Daisy Dares You was never a big artist. Lot's of potential. Did "Rosie" the follow-up ever chart?

Was it even ever properly released?

The BJ shoutout can already be heard above, 2:21:01 in

I wasn't expecting him to read it out to be honest, I don't think I would in his position unless he knew that "Buzzjack" was kosher. He certainly wouldn't have read it out if I'd abbreviated it to BJ!!!!

This has been a great day and show, I wish I could've been here posting for all of it but I had to go out for a walk with the family and then drive back home (got to listen to R1 in the car!)

Some amazing tunes and discoveries here, so much dance too

thanks everyone who made this a success anyway, it was great discussing when I could!

Bullit was the perfect closer for me anyway, even if a bit random as it wasn't a huge smash. what a TUNE

And the spotify playlist has now been updated~ https://open.spotify.com/user/11887295/play...92ADQBhJsShy05I

(not every song is available so fake versions and remixes have been added as well)

I've had Andreas Johnson's 'Glorious' stuck in my head all afternoon thanks to this. I knew the song but didn't know what it was and haven't heard it in years (even though I've had it in my iTunes library for ages purely because I recongnised the name, I just haven't listened to it yet ). Great rediscovery there.

More catching up *.*

Baauer - Harlem Shake (2013)

My school did a Harlem Shake video once, I looked fab in pink

All the snubbed one-hit wonders would have been played if Radio 1s definition of one-hit wonder was one top 40 hit

I was out all day so basically went through this thread playing the videos of everything that was well received on here and it was such an awesome way to take a trip down memory lane, there's so many songs I'd completely forgotten about that I've been reminded of tonight, definitely going to check out the thread for this tomorrow.

Well done to everybody who hosted this all day, I could only imagine the amount of hard work and dedication required into preparing anything, the people who stayed up from the beginning and stuck with it all day deserve credit in particular, days like this are why I love looking around this forum!

Are you ever satisfied? :P

He won't be until Jenny Fisher gets fired for her Rihanna hate campaign.
