The infamous Eric Blob effect.

He must be a closet Lady Gaga fan, otherwise he wouldn't mention her out of nowhere :heehee: :kink:

Wilkinson doing better than I expected, great song. :cheer: Quite surprised he's not done more commercially, although the video for Afterglow helped that song a lot. Quite popular amongst my circles still.

Liking that Flux Pavilion song too. Doctor is one of my favourite D&B vocalists, he was great on Sigma's Rudeboy. Sounds like he fits dubstep just as well, the reggae tinged verses are great.

Lady Gaga still one of the most inflammatory topics on Buzzjack.

Why are we even discussing Gaga? I thought after artflop she was no longer relevant?

Selling a million copies worldwide with a jazz album which was her third consecutive US #1 album this decade (the only female act to have 3 consecutive #1 albums this decade in the US)

AND winning a Grammy for it, irrelevant indeed hun

The Wilkinson track is great, I liked almost all of his singles. I hope this will be top 40 in the end and not miss out because of lack of streaming.

bite.

Ooh Ella Eyre might make the top ten after all then :D

Hopefully Sheppard & Wilkinson can make the top40 officially too~

Never knew that was fact. A lot of people I know hate her, me included.

It's literally embarrassing to me (and not just because I'm a fan) that people try and discredit her given what an all-round talent she is. Obviously a lot of people see crazy outfits and don't look past that - sorry but that's beyond ignorant

Anyway, on topic..

Wow at Bad Blood. Just shows what a ridiculously overhyped yet disappointing video can do for such a mediocre song!

Agreed. :/ I wasn't particularly amazed by the video and the song really wasn't grabbing my interests (not to say it won't grow, plus I know people say the album version is better, but it's certainly not got what 'Shake It Off', 'Blank Space' or 'Style' had to make it special).

It should have remained an album track it doesn't really feel single-worthy...

Well its iTunes performance so far suggests otherwise :kink:

Oh I'm not saying it shouldn't be a single due to its lack of potential, but let's be fair she could put out anything right now & it would rocket up iTunes. Just not one of my highlights...

, At the end of the day she's just trying to make ends meet

I'm kind of glad Taylor went for this now- it was either bad blood, all you had to do was stay or New Romantics for now as I think one of the poppier efforts is best for now.

I now want wildest dreams late July, out of the woods October/November with x-factor performance and I know places in January would be perfect

As far as getting a remix out there, I do think 'Bad Blood' was the correct choice in turning it into a remixed, single version. The other songs on the album are just modern day, pop gems that really don't need touching up any more. BB was definitely in my bottom 5 on '1989', and it was a bizarre single choice at first (especially considering the stuff she has on the album) but I can see why it was chosen, I guess. Similar reasons for 'Sugar' being released. Radio would EAT IT UP.

It just so happens, the remix turns it into something ELSE and actually serves the song justice. Along with a hyped up video! Very well done to Taylor and her team!

 85. Gabrielle Aplin - Light Up The Dark :P

It's really concerning to me that the top version of 'Talking Body' isn't moving up anywhere while the other versions are falling away. :(

Still comfortably top 30 combined though.
