Mourinho can complain all he wants, fact is Liverpool were barely out of third gear all game. Chelsea are awful! Massive result for Liverpool though, I thought we would get a result there. Our record under Brendan was atrocious there, so it's glad to get a win. Think Mourinho is walking a thing line now, could see him getting sacked.
A Quite amazing interview from Mourinho post match where he said he has nothing to say about today's defeat or his future

The game turned on the Coutinho goal before half time and Lucas not being sent off. Both were 50/50, and Liverpool got both. Hardly an anti-Chelsea conspiracy, but it shows how fine the margins can be.

They'd have probably kept a clean sheet had that game been last season. The defence needs completely reworking - Terry's legs have gone and Rahman needs to come in on the left.

I can see the aggro for the Coutinho goal, however, the added time is a minimum, and call me biased, but Lucas' foul was not a second yellow. Can argue Costa should have been sent off before that. Game was balanced on fine margins, but Chelsea did not deserve to win that game. So I don't think their fans can have many complaints.

The entire team needs an overhaul, or a new manager. They just have no idea what to do, John Terry in particular just looks completely lost.

What about Diego Costa not being sent off? That was a far clearer red card. A second yellow card for Lucas would have been very harsh. OTOH, some of the Chelsea players urging the referee to show Lucas a second yellow card should have been booked themselves.

Lucas' first booking came after three poor fouls. Given that, he was incredibly lucky that his fourth didn't see him sent off. Had he not already been on a booking, I'm sure the referee would have given him a yellow as he'd done to Mikel a minute before.

This Vardy run is ridiculous, in 10 years time when someone else puts in a run like this we'll look back at the records list and think "what the hell, who?"
Chelsea are now 10 points behind 4th place after their defeat to Liverpool so it's very unlikely that Champions League football will be at Stamford Bridge next season. Chelsea's results this season are even worse than how Man Utd's were when David Moyes was the manager.

I know it's utterly bonkers! I keep thinking, he and Leicester will run out of form... but it doesn't seem to happen. His stats are amazing this year, not just in terms of goals, in terms of everything!

They will go on a run at some point, but I think by the time that run of form happens the gap might be too big. 10 points is nothing really at this stage of the season. It's unlikely Leicester/West Ham will keep up form, and Liverpool and Spurs will go through barren patches.

Mourinho's position not under "immediate threat" according to Sky sources earlier.

So, they can sack him tomorrow and say "Ah, but that was last month".

If they'd won today, they'd have been level on points with Liverpool. They're only six behind Spurs. It's not insurmountable if they have a good November.

No it's not, but they have been patchy all season and you can't really say there are signs they will hit form. Their best player looks like he does not want to be there. And the rest of the team look shot of confidence. Their cup form hasn't really helped matter either.

To all those enjoying the demise of Chelsea (myself very much included) I wonder how much the impact of Jose's fathers illness has had on his management of the team? I'm not a massive fan of Mourinho, but the amount of abuse and pressure he's getting is slightly distasteful considering what he and family have been through the last six months.

Besides, who are Chelsea going to appoint that's better? Problem is Terry is looking past-it and half the team aren't fit to lace the boots of the great Chelsea teams of the last decade.

It's probably not helped matters, but if you see with Jose's history, there always seems to be something wrong in the 3rd season (whether it's him managing, or the team he has left behind). A lot of his criticism comes from himself, he's such a child and he's always been like this. Throwing his toys out the pram at decisions that go against him, trying to create a siege mentality. It's just not classy. The guy is a great manager, but his theatrics lead a lot to be desired.

This is essentially the same squad as last year with a couple of additions. Yet they look half the team!

It was ever since the incident with Eva Canerio that things went downhill for Mourinho & Chelsea. It's like as if she's put a curse on them or something

Sunderland getting battered 6-2 by Everton and Bournemouth losing again, I think these two teams will get relegated this season with one out of Newcastle/Aston Villa.

God he was awful, what was he doing with some of those simple balls - just kept flapping them away!

Too much information -_-

That Southampton v Bournemouth game was the clearest "game of two halves" I've seen for a long time. Southampton had 69% possession in the first half, and Bournemouth had two shots. In the second half, Bournemouth had 75% possession and 14 shots. In the first half, Bournemouth were poor, but after half-time, they played really well. The crowd behind the Southampton goal in the first half will have seen almost the entire match from a distance

It didn't help matters. Heard a few things (no idea how much substance to these rumours) that the players were furious with the way things were handled as she was very popular in the dressing room. But they were poor before that, as well throughout pre-season.
