July 5, 201511 yr I disagree that Radio 1 "hasn't made much effort" today. Even if they've mostly just played music, they've still devoted 12+ hours to chart day and have done a good job acknowledging that it's the last Sunday chart. Sure there are other things they could have done but this has been a great send-off/tribute I'd say, I expected less than this tbh. I agree, Radio 1 isn't staffed by chart geeks, what they've done is more than enough and certainly more than I expected. Remember everyone thought they'd waste loads of time talking and skip most of the songs today but they played at least a bit of every single song as promised.

Don't get me wrong Ive enjoyed chart day but I feel like they could have maybe spent each hour going back to a year and reviewing the big chart news and events of that year rather than just playing the end of year charts

July 5, 201511 yr On the topic of R1, I do think it would've been great to have a 'best of...' the actual Sunday Chart Show and maybe invite some of the presenters in to share their 'moments' would've been a nice touch, but I do think eleven hours devoted to the charts is more than enough (and let's not forget their giving us another chart next Sunday in the form of the 2015 YTD!)
