THANK YOU Ben, Jester, Gezza and all the others who've kept this running! The Sunday chart show thread is what brought me to Buzzjack in the first place so all the work you've put into this over the years really means a lot! Hopefully Fridays will still get a decent enough turn-out so our weekly tradition can live on
the start of "productive" sundays starts here :o

:o That's such a great way to look at it! Stealing that thought for myself~

Echoing the thanks to the mods and everyone who's made these threads so great! Very very much appreciated <3

Well, maybe 2 Unlimited

They were Dutch I think.

Some small updates to the second album chart post as Meek Mill and Miguel each have a new entry in today's singles chart between 41 and 100.

(PS last Belgian #1 would be Gotye)

Thank you so much guys for doing this great work... so sad it's over now, but it's start of the new era apparently :D despite not having known you for years, i still respect your work. These was the nicest Sundays in my life! ^_^ greetings from mother russia!

Again thanks to everyone who has kept this chart thread running!! You've well done a fantastic job.

My first post on a Sunday Chart Show Thread:

firework still a good song

Oh my word, why oh why?

Sunday's will not be the same anymore for a lot of people on here.

(PS last Belgian #1 would be Gotye)

Thanks, I thought Gotye was australian but he was born in Belgium according to wikipedia.

Thank you to everyone for today and participating, its been fun.

A big thanks to Slick, TomKay and Ben for posting the chart with me over the years!

Thanks for all your work on the chart show thread over the years :cheer:

Thanks, I thought Gotye was australian but he was born in Belgium according to wikipedia.

Born in Belgium but taken to Australian at the age of 2. That makes him Australian in my records although likelihood is he is probably eligible for citizenship of both.

I don't have any previous Belgian-marked acts reaching Number one.

It's sad to see this thread go :( Thanks to all the mods for hosting it over the years. Thanks also to all the members who have contributed so much to the chart show's success. I hope some will be around on Friday afternoons. If not, read the thread anyway and comment later on Friday or over the weekend.

Radio 1 does have THIS posted on their website (sorry if it's been posted already): a recap of all the Sunday chart presenters, with a Youtube clip for each one!

So it's good to see they have acknowledged their past chart show hosts, even if it wasn't on-air!

They got it wrong

Bruno Brookes not 1986-1995, in fact 1986-1990 & 1992-1995.

and Mark Goodier, not just 1995-2002 but 1990-1992 as well.

Yes it's brilliant, shame they didn't mention Scott Mills, although he never was a full presenter but covered for others the most times (in fact I can imagine he presented more charts than Clara Amfo)

Richard Thompson getting a first top 10 album after a rather lengthy wait!

For those who don't know, it's been a very long wait - his first solo album was in 1972.

omg out of EVERYONE who has had a No. 1 they choose The Saturdays as the picture!!

I first joined the site to follow Lady Gaga on the charts and to find people to enthuse with over the Sunday charts. Definitely the end of an era. As has been said, thanks to all of those that have put so much hard work into these threads week in week out, it's really appreciated! Hope the move to Fridays proves to be a successful one ~

Not all their Sunday chart presenters, just those since 1985.
