Taking the bronze medal in this series is 'Pound The Alarm', the second single taken from 'Roman Reloaded'. And reloaded it was! Showcasing a new found flare for eccentric POP with the single that came before it wasn't enough and so the second single followed a similar suit as Nicki turned up the rave once more. For some it was more of what was needed, for others it was yet a further move away from the Nicki that rose before this album. Still regardless of whether pop Nicki is the spawn of satan, the song is INCREDIBLY fun and explosive. It actually came third in a poll to determine the next single (behind 'Va Va Voom' and 'Whip It') but she decided to release it anyway. Commercially the song did decently but did not live up to the success of 'Starships'. The music video was as vibrant and colourful as was needed and features her amazing walk adorned with feathers and strutting like it's her business *.* try to NOT recreate the walk when blasting the song~ A fabulous song, though i did not envisage it being anywhere near this high when we started the polls!

They're both pretty average and overrated tbh (what did I expect of BuzzJack) but I liked Starships more at the time so I'll vote Super Bass ~

Voted Starships to go (hope I did that right), Super Bass to win, was the first song I really liked by her and feels natural rather than an obvious attempt at a hit.

Whilst 'Moment 4 Life' annihilates both of these, I've gone for 'Starships'. I got pretty bored of that one fairly quickly, whilst 'Super Bass' still remains a whole lot of fun, the bridge(s) and chorus were so omnipresent at the time yet haven't faded for me at all. A close race it seems, c'mon 'Super Bass'!

This was definitely the top 2 I imagined it would be & well they are her definers after all!

 

Despite neither being my favourite overall I slightly prefer Super Bass (a.k.a. Teenage Dream) of the 2 so Starships is my final vote!
