If I recall correctly there was a news bulletin in the chart one week in 2001 - I'm thinking October - that was breaking the news UK and US had declared war on Afghanistan. I remember listening to that one.

First Friday Drivetime chart I have listened to in over 10 years, the last one I listened to was over here on Ireland's 2fm the show at the time was presented by the Late Tony Fenton, who died recently.

I can't get into 'Five More Hours', it's just too generic and unremarkable.

Having said that, I can imagine me doing a U-turn one day if I hear it when I'm trashed on a night out.

In early 2011, Sheeran released an independent extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project, which caught the attention of both Elton John and Jamie Foxx. He then signed to Asylum Records. His 2011 debut album, +, containing the singles "The A Team" and "Lego House", was certified quintuple platinum in the United Kingdom. 8 tracks in 22 minutes. Good luck with that.

Did I miss them saying they were trying to get to the top 10 by 5pm?

The news update at 16:30 used to be part of the chart show on Sunday in the early 1990s. *.*

Wasn't that because there was a separate breakers show before the news update, then the charts show proper was on from 16:30?

I wonder if Nathan Sykes is a new entry at #14 :D if he is that's Thursdays' update position
'Photograph' The Felix Jaehn remix floating around is decent too, although doesn't hit me as hard as the original. Also saw the accompanying music video a few days ago for the first time and it's so lovely.

I love Photograph.

Anyway, the reason why the songs are dropping so hard is because they've simply been pushed down by the four new entries, Wings, Let It Go climbing, and Photograph holding against the current, and having nothing which crashes down this week.

Nope this was 1992-1994 when they played the full Top 40 from 4pm.

Pretty sure I heard him say that. I imagine they'll make a few adjustments in the first few weeks, hopefully one that plays new entries at least.

I love Photograph.

That doesn't explain why they drop MORE than 4 places :P (Deorro for example down 7)

So far then, so disappointing.

I don't see the point of a chart show if they don't say how tracks have moved. Otherwise it's just a list of songs, not a chart show.

Not playing the new entries is also pointless and annoying.

If, on top of this, there's data missing, as some of you are saying, then this is a right old mess. Greg could do better than this.
