Where did that big boost for Bob versions of Ouse come from? All Zowie's mates doing a last minute bulk buy along with Bre?

Just seen an ad on Channel 5 for an upcoming compilation album called House Every Weekend with a load of dance classics - HEW was included and played on the ad

Why are the new releases out now I'm a bit confused ?

Friday is the nuuu release day. It's been hyped for a few months now in the chart topics :)

Have you not been reading anything posted in this forum for the last couple of months? :P
Not really been on here religiously for the past month so that might explain me not knowing :P

 19. Little Mix - Black Magic

 40. Sam Feldt - Show Me Love (feat. Kimberly Anne)

 57. Avicii - Waiting for Love

 155. Nick Jonas - Chains

 259. Example - Whisky Story

No sign of iLL Blu, Conor, Fuse etc. yet

Glad Example's doing well (mostly from fanbase buys so far granted, but still)!

kworb has updated and David Zowie got to 84.45% combined as a result of that last minute boost. Little Mix are at 21.46% now so there will be a very sharp percentage increase for them in the daytime when more people are awake.

52. Toploader - Dancing In the Moonlight

Why is Dancing In The Moonlight back in the top 100? it's not 59p.

It definitely was available at 59p for the last week or two on iTunes. They probably put it back to full price at the end of that 'sales' week, but as iTunes is a rolling chart it will still have some representation of their sales from before midnight. If they don't appear to start plummeting in the next two days then we know something else is at play regarding the song's newfound popularity.

The burning question for me is will there be anyone who forgets about the changing release date & releases on Sunday.

Polydor to takeover Channel 4 ad break for Years & Years

Electronic pop trio Years & Years will perform latest single Shine in a primetime advert break on Channel 4 on the first New Music Friday.

The three and a half minute bespoke ad break, taking place during 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown at 9.45pm, is a collaboration between Channel 4, Polydor Records, MediaCom, and The Outfit. Viewers will be able to vote throughout the three and a half minute break to switch between three different performances, using the hashtags #ChooseDark #ChooseLight or #ChooseShadow.

Viewers’ tweets will be counted live during the ad break and tallied every 30 seconds, while the two alternative music video choices to the performance playing in full screen will be displayed as insets. The broadcast will aim to switch seamlessly between these to reflect the performance Channel 4’s viewers most want to see.

Creative agency The Outfit, who produced the Years & Years advert, were also behind Sam Smith's live performance advert on Channel 4 last year.

Jack Melhuish, marketing director, Polydor Records said: “Years and Years are a special band and we felt it was important to do something special to celebrate the release of their debut album. Giving fans and viewers the chance to control and direct a TV advert as it happens has never been done before and plays perfectly into the band’s ethos of rewarding their fans and always being on the cutting edge.”

Jonathan Allan, sales director, Channel 4 said: “This exciting partnership is a real treat for Years & Years fans. It’s a fun and innovative use of the ad break that follows the great success of Sam Smith’s live performance on 4 last year.”

Dino Ioannou, global head of universal music, MediaCom said: “Years & Years have such a dedicated and socially engaged fan base. We wanted to give them a unique opportunity to be integral to this album campaign on Channel 4. It’s another great example of MediaCom being involved in an exciting partnership that both innovates in broadcast and drives huge engagement through social channels."

The band said: "We loved the idea of giving our fans control of a music video and this happening in a way that reached as many people as possible. The different videos perfectly represent the different sides of our identity as a band and we hope the audience will enjoy being able to experience our music in a different and cool way."

^ Really looking forward to watching that Martin! Shame it's not during a show with more ratings though.
