I always thought they were the party for business, enterprise and initiative actually.

Party of business when Bojo the Bloat recently said, f*** business, and is presiding over the worst performing currency and the worst performing modern economy in the world, and which has borrowed more in 10 years than every Labour government combined whilst slashing servives and the military? And the party that wants a no deal, with no mandate, when business has said time and again, um, NO, and has started leaving rhd country in droves?? That's not a party of business or economic sense.

Based on what? Let me guess. Some Tory politician said so, so it must be true.

No I must correct you. He said "F*** THE CBI" Those were his actual words.

Also, and this has bugged me for weeks, why must you always refer to Boris's or Trump's weight, diet and "bloat". It's disrespectful and frankly has nothing to do with how they can do their jobs as leaders. Here it's against the rules to be racist, sexist and homophobic and should be against the terms and conditions to be weight-ist too. Some people have medical problems which causes weight gain.

Erm, haven’t you been banging on about speculation over Bernie Sanders’ health?

The difference is you can take steps to become less fat. I am not aware of any current work-out routine that will make you less gay.

Don't get me wrong, as an ex-fattie I know how hurtful it can be to be subject to abuse because of your weight, and I would discourage making fun of someone's weight where possible, but it's not in the same category as abusing someone because of characteristics that you have no control over (I do understand there are those with conditions such as an under-active thyroid where that's not the case, but they're the minority).

Yes but a heart attack is different and research shows he's very likely to have another within 5 years.

Boris isn't that fat and neither is Trump. Maybe both a bit overweight. I bet my BMI is far higher than either of theirs but I don't bother as I like my food and drink, just buy bigger trousers.

I wonder what John Prescott would have to say on that.

Shut your hypocritical mouth. I distinctly recall you making a derogatory remark about Jeremy Corbyn's appearance very recently.

I just think it cheapens your arguments when you have to make a remark in every post about the PM's weight. Pathetic.

What would it take for you to admit that Johnson is not the most amazingly wonderful person ever to have lived?

Lord what is he going on about now? He attacks Corbyn and Sanders on the daily regarding their health and appearance, but can't accept it when we talk about how bad and unhealthy Bloatjo and Drumf are?!

Its just more of the 7 deadly sins isn't it. It would be easier to say which of them Trump/Boris don't exhibit...

It just speaks to gluttony and excess. Typical and characteristic of their otherwise visible selfishness and shortsightedness.

I admit he's not because I am that person. :)

I doubt either of them has time for gluttony and excess whilst being so busy running their respective countries and long may they both continue to do that. They're hardly the weight of Henry VIII in his latter years.

Using the left's sacred PC against it!

Anyway...

A big reason for Johnson’s easy ride is partisanship from the parts of the media determined to get him elected. I have talked to senior BBC executives, and they tell me they personally think it’s wrong to expose lies told by a British prime minister because it undermines trust in British politics. Is that a reason for giving Johnson free rein to make any false claim he wants?

Others take the view that all politicians lie, and just shrug their shoulders. But it’s not true that all politicians lie. Treating all politicians as liars gives a licence for the total collapse of integrity of British politics, a collapse that habitual liars such as Johnson are delighted to exploit. The British media is not holding him to account for his repeated falsehoods. It’s time we journalists did our job, and started to regain our self-respect.

Another great, and worrying, piece by Peter Oborne.
