Still haven't been at any gig since the pandemic :/ still having issues about going to gigs now + none of my super super favourites have played here... but already bought a bunch of tix for 2022, Olafur Arnalds, Julien Baker, The Tallest Man on Earth, and, Lucy Dacus.
I haven't made it to a concert since the pandemic either! Not sure how good I feel about being in a room packed with people now, I did have Caribou booked which was rescheduled to a couple of months ago but didn't feel like I could go.

My 2021 list was pretty good for three months:

The Subways

Fontaines DC

Billy Nomates

Self Esteem [Acoustic + Signing]

Caribou (Elkka)

Public Service Broadcasting

Courteeners

Self Esteem

The Tom Robinson gig will be two years late by the time it happens. It was suppose to mark his 70th birthday  It will establish a new record for the longest gap between the first time I saw an act live (Sep 1978 in this case) and the last time. It will smash the record of nearly 30 years currently held by Suede.

Rescheduled gigs have proved to be a real pain. I ended up with two gigs (Teenage Fanclub and Sparks) being rearranged for the same date. I opted for Teenage Fanclub as I had failed to see them in their 1990s heyday and it was a short bus ride away rather than traipsing over to Bexhill. Sparks probably put on a better show but I'm glad I finally got to see Teenage Fanclub.

So far this year

Ed Sheeran

Teenage Fanclub

Comedy gigs

Ed Gamble

Jack Dee

Coming Up

Divine Comedy

Tom Robinson

Oops, forgot Bastille who I saw on Monday

You didn't come and say hello at Ally Pally :o

Looking back at my last post in here...

I'm totally expecting my other upcoming concerts to be cancelled now (which would bring me up to 50% cancellation rate lol). Hopefully if that's the case they'll at least be rescheduled (it took a while for BROCKHAMPTON to actually announce touring in the UK, going to be beyond gutted if that now ends up never happening after all because of this).

Honestly it's probably the right move for all concerts etc. to be cancelled for the near future until things calm down a bit, doesn't make it less disappointing though.

Big sad that BROCKHAMPTON ended up, after 2 years of delays, just cancelling their entire European tour apart from a couple of shows in London which were sadly not the ones we had tickets for. And then they split up (although apparently will still be releasing one more album) so unless there's a reformation some time down the line it's almost certain that was my only chance to ever see them. Boo.

Dua Lipa on Sunday was my first post-COVID concert, future ones as per are already covered in Jade's post (am going with her to Lorde, The Bootleg Beatles and ROSALÍA, so lots to look forward to this year assuming they all go ahead as planned!)

Dua and The Bootleg Beatles are/were both rescheduled ones so assuming The Bootleg Beatles does still happen, that's a 50/50 success rate on cancelled shows ending up being successfully rescheduled (Lana Del Rey and BROCKHAMPTON sadly both never happening).
