Please anything but that Rachel Platten nonsense for number one...

I wish Radio 1 had backed Aint Nobody, that way I reckon it could have helped it to number one :(

Looks like Rachel Platten for that elusive 1300th #1 landmark, I actually prefer Alex Jaehn track over it to be honest.

Because the useless covers of Wicked Game & Show Me Love smashing weren't enough.

Sun Goes Down was way better than Ain't Nobody, surprised it did nothing in the UK.

I'm not a lover of Fight Song but it reminds me of the likes of Sara Bareilles and Vanessa Carlton, it's been a while since we had a female singer songwriter one hit wonder style song so I welcome it.

Drag Me Down by One Direction has started to rise on iTunes to coincide with the video release. It'll be interesting in its chart history to see the sharp drops for two weeks and then the rise this week

I prefer Fight Song but I do really like Ain't Nobody too, can't believe Radio 1 didn't support the latter! Fight Song will be a great #1, something like that hasn't really topped the charts for a while and it's a lovely little song.
150. Låpsley - Hurt Me

Yes!!!!!!!!!! climb, climb, climb... get that top 40 entry.

Nice to see somebody scoring a debut hit (and No.1!) in their mid 30s. Well done to Rachel for continuing with her career all these years and finally coming up with a smash.

BJSC gets it right again, a winner from 2011 going on to top the charts FOUR years later (albeit with a different song!)

JoJo is doing so much better than I thought! Love all 3 songs. Hopefully she can finally make her long awaited return to the charts.

327 & 577. Big Narstie - Hello Hi (Radio Edit)

Big Narstie in the iTunes chart? I never thought i'd see the day

25 Ella Eyre Good Times

This is doing a lot better than I expected. I think it's an improved version of 'Together' but I really like it.

I'd rather have Kelly Clarkson rip-off Rachel Platten at number 1 then another cover of 'Ain't Nobody' after another thousand versions charted in the past...

The Neighbourhood doing very well, wasn't sure they had much of a core fanbase/following at all. Good Times looking like a #29 smash at best right now, not a particularly good result for the lead single (can see her album still reaching the top 10 though)

Fight Song is pleasant enough I suppose (great by recent number 1s standards!), even if I can see Heart FM peddling this one for MONTHS. I'm just waiting for Sigala to come and smash in a few weeks time, that'll be a number 1 I can get behind.
