Not bad for Carlisle, thought we were going to get hammered and I mean a drubbing. They had the majority of the possession as I would expect, we carved out a few chances on the counter. Biggest crowd at Brunton Park for many years.

Chelsea could have got double figures today, MK Dons looked absolutely shocking defensively. I hope they continue to defend like that in the league.

Is it tonight that Liverpool are facing West Ham in the replay? I think West Ham will win if they perform to the best of the ability.

A thrilling end in the dying seconds of extra time. I'm sure a few were watching tonight. Great stuff from West Ham.

Was a really good game. Thought we were the better team but we couldn't finish for shit.

Gut wrenching to concede in the last minute of extra time. Even more peeved when it was never a free kick and the scorer might as well stood on our player. But far too many positives to take out of that game. Sturridge looked class. Keep him fit, we'll finish Top 6 and give ourselves a good chance of a cup.

Comiserations to all the Liverpool fans.

We wanted to do you on penalties.

No chance, our penalty record is ridiculously good :D

We had about six penalty takers on the pitch.

Would have been spoilt for choice if we'd got that one in the second half. Even Owen said it should have been given!

One of the last great Upton Park nights with a perfect finish! Absolutely buzzing, even if Liverpool probably shaded it on the night.
Unlucky Peterbrough there losing on penalties to WBA - some great young players from the league one side including Forrester and Samuelson(a West Ham loanee M L Hammmer)
FA Cup replays could be no-more after 2018 and cup games will be played midweek according to this:

What do you think?

That would be another nail (or two) in the coffin of the FA Cup. It was bad enough when the police effectively forced the FA to have a limit of one replay by insisting on a ten day gap between the original match and the replay.

If they really want to reduce the number of fixtures, there are better ways of doing that. Scrapping the League Cup would make far more sense.

I think a better idea would be scrapping the JPT and just let Championship, League One and League Two clubs enter the League Cup.

Shrewsbury v Man United another defining game in the Van Gaal era. Surely he'll have to go if they lose to Shrewsbury won't he?

Going back to the news of possibly scraping cup replays. Make the League Cup only for the Championship/League One/League Two clubs is a good idea. Do not scrap cup replays. FA Cup replays are legendary hence the 1999 FA Cup Semi-Final, Ronnie Radford and recently West Ham v Liverpool to name a few.

LVG will be sacked on the spot or on the following morning if Man United lose next Monday. United's season would effectively be over 3 months early if that happens.

Losing to Shrewsbury would be seriously embarrassing. However, their season would still be alive. They should still get through in the Europa League, which keeps their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.

Only an idiot would speculate that Man United on current form could possibly beat the likes of Spurs, Fiorentina, Seville, Napoli etc to win the Europa League.
If we lose on Monday, which is looking more and more likely every minute, then LVG should have the decency to fall on his sword immediately after the match...literally. Absolutely no way the fans will be able to get past that or the Glazers.
