Album opener and first album track to leak from ARTPOP is up next. When it leaked it set the precedence for the album - an anarchic, industrialised hot mess. It sets off the tone and sound of the album perfectly. Featured in the trailor for 'Machete Kills' which Gaga herself starred in and is another female empowering anthem where Gaga channels eastern traditions and subverts them to affirm her own sexuality.. controversial it might seem but her intentions are pure. Critics were divided on the song and its subject matter but fans seem to still love it as shown in this poll and in the official fan poll to decide the next single where this won! Obviously that never materialised into anything and it remained only a promotional single for the album.
