Looks like Adele will be doing the double, the only new single will come from Nathan Sykes 'Over And Over Again' and other tracks from Adele's new album... help me now please. Nothing much else to write about.

Well... it doesn't take rocket science who is going to be #1 in the album chart next week  Adele has the #1 album in the bag, she can't really miss. Other new album releases from Enya 'Dark Sky Island', Benjamin Clementine 'At Least For Now', Tracy Chapman 'Greatest Hits', Newton Faulker 'Human Love' and NOW 92.

@MintRoyale: So what do we all think Adele will have sold on day one? A poll:

Under 53

Over 53

Also-

@davidballs: Adele's first day sales already make it the 7th biggest selling album of the year #Adele25

So we're looking at 264K+

Over 300k confirmed.

Edited by Joe.

Wow that's fantastic. Can she push for 600k? I'd imagine she's going to have a pretty stellar weekend for sales, especially after the BBC special. Really pleased for her. Now I'm dying to see the US numbers.

I think we'll be looking at 600 - 800k at the end of the week.

@MintRoyale: I hope Adele wasn't banking on album sales paying for her Christmas, she only managed to sell 313,000 copies in the UK yesterday.

Edited by Joe.

Yep. The UK definitely don't want her to succeed etc... :)

Lmao at the tweet above. Pretty much Buzzjack in general atm.

Gobsmacked, and I'm not sure why because it's Adele...but 313k in a DAY, in 2015's album climate, without streaming included...

Jesus I just saw the actual figure. That is amazing. 700k is pretty much a certainty then as she's bound to shift at least 200k today too. Will Oasis' record finally be broken?

Edited by PaulM1983

313k in ONE DAY!? Is it already the fastest selling album of all time (if we're going on how much they sold in one day)? I thought it'd do well but not THAT well. Incredible.

It's locked on for at least 700k by the end of the week, surely?

I didn't expect that much seeing as how poor album sales have been this year
I wonder if it can beat the NOW album

Unfortunately, it already has

I'm sure Now will still outsell her :kink:
