Because people like the song :)

I think he's asking why it's now dark green :kink:

Did I miss why it climbed so well to begin with though? I'm of course not complaining though :music:

It would actually be single #7 :magic: Real and Take Shelter were both released before Desire :kink:

Or single #8 if you include "Sunlight". Still reckon the album would be so much better if they included it on there

229. Stone Temple Pilots - Plush

332. Velvet Revolver - Slither

431. Velvet Revolver - Fall To Pieces

691. Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song

1044. Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing

Interested to see what the next Y&Y single is, could well be a re-release with 'Desire', 'Take Shelter' or 'Real' (even though it's already been a Top 40 hit I guess Desire is the most 'commercially' viable option from those). The only other track outside of those that seems probable is maybe 'Worship'

Update:

2. Sigala - Sweet Lovin' (feat. Bryn Christopher) (Radio Edit) [currently 0.6704 on Kworb]

31. Kygo - Stay (feat. Maty Noyes)

52. Martin Solveig - +1 (feat. Sam White) (Radio Edit)

94. Siouxsie - Love Crime (Amuse-Busche Version)

170. Sigala - Sweet Lovin' (feat. Bryn Chistopher) (Extended Mix)

185. Foxes - Amazing

393. LunchMoney Lewis - Ain't Too Cool

582. Sparks - Christmas Without a Prayer

665. Phoenix - Alone On Christmas Day

Wasn't 'Gold' initially planned to be this current single before 'Eyes Shut' was officially announced? I'd say that could be the most possible outside of a re-release.

Typically they're off the Radio 1 playlist this week. I HOPE they can manage top 20 though, that's still really strong for a post-album track. It's sold 140k to date.

Seems odd that after ages of being around the 30 mark to see it shoot up.

Had they performed Eyes Shut on Strictly rather than King it probably would've taken off sooner. I think they should go top 20 (at least) next week officially

Everyone's finally realised they've already downloaded them! I was wondering when saturation point for Xmas downloading would arrive.

Streaming should ensure loads go top 40 officially for the Xmas chart.

yep, mass streaming of Xmas songs should ensure Mariah and The Pogues go top 20 yet again, possibly even top 10 for Mariah as she seems to do far better on streams?

As Christmas day is on a Friday I can definitely see the Xmas songs doing slightly better than usual as the buildup week won't be split into 2 chart weeks [although the biggest day for streaming is Christmas Day itself, so there will be a bit of hangover through to the next week. The perfect day for Christmas to fall on would be a Thursday really.]
