December 13, 201510 yr Mint Royale said she did 111k on saturday alone, not 111k so far. Link Mint Royale corrected himself: Adele sold that amount in 2 days.
December 13, 201510 yr Next Saturday's the biggest day of shopping of the year so it'll be interesting to see next weekend figures!
December 13, 201510 yr Adele continuing to sell in powerhouse numbers, looks like she will easily reach 2 million sales by end of this year alone. 25 looks likely at worst to have overall sales of 3 million at the least which isnt a bad follow up at all to an almost 5 million selling album. If 25 has the longevity of 21 it will likely come near to 4 million.
December 13, 201510 yr I think if there is a physical for the X Factor winners single this year, they will wait till Friday to release it. So it can boost the song during it's second chart week. I will be very intrigued to see how the winner does with the winners song this year.
December 13, 201510 yr Nice performance from Kylie on Strictly..... not sure it will boost sales that much but should keep them steady
December 13, 201510 yr Next Saturday's the biggest day of shopping of the year so it'll be interesting to see next weekend figures! Its a shame there won't be any sales info on Christmas Day/Boxing Day :P
December 13, 201510 yr Predicting now it'll be David Bowie. But only for one week, if he does manage it at all. Bowie's first week sales for "The Next Day" was 94,048, doubt he will be scaling those heights on 8th January. Surely Adele will still be selling 100k in week 8?
December 13, 201510 yr Its a shame there won't be any sales info on Christmas Day/Boxing Day :P I'd say we will hear sales from next weekend before then tho to give us a good idea of things!

I'd be surprised even if Adele is selling 100k on January the 8th, sales usually fall from 300k for the no1 album to around 50k again with sale items jumping up the chart - although we are talking about Adele here so who knows!

December 13, 201510 yr "21" sold 157k in week 8 , just saying '25' will have sold significantly more than '21' had by that stage though. Album sales completely fall off a cliff after the first week of January, even Adele won't be immune to it.
December 13, 201510 yr "21" sold 157k in week 8 , just saying And it could well but Jan 8th is different to April or whatever week 8 was in 21s sequence of sales!
December 13, 201510 yr The drop in ratings isn't as big as the media make out so I imagine it will quite comfortably make #1 :P It will likely only have to do 120k to get #1. Isn't as big? Here's the ratings for every finals weekend in history. If the figure someone quoted for last night of around 6m is correct then it's the least watched final weekend show ever, and even with an increase for tonight they'll surely struggle to gain the extra 2m+ viewers needed to beat last years record low for the Sunday final. December 13, 201510 yr pssst. Alex and Leona are the wrong way round Typical me, I double-checked all the more obscure ones (i.e. the last 5 years mainly) then get the two most famous ones mixed up..... Thanks for letting me know, all corrected now.
December 13, 201510 yr Ratings doesnt always equal sales though little mix final was one of most watched but wimmers single has 3rd worst opening Shayne ward and james arthurs series se the worst ratings but best opening sales and are both million sellers (Ok shayne had advantage of massive physicals at time) But if it is put on streaming louisa could do really well sales
December 13, 201510 yr The CD for Louisa's single will be out Wednesday: http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/l...r-young__13166/
December 14, 201510 yr I was going to ask whether anyone had plotted first-week sales of winners' singles against viewing figures for that year's finals to see how much correlation there was. But it looks like the answer is not much, which is how I remembered it.
