It's weird that all these tracks are climbing significantly on iTunes, but it still doesn't mean they'll hit T40 for a while. Hoping they can all make it there officially soon though, I agree that it's about time we had some new tracks charting well. Hype seems to have died down a bit now for the Craig David return track - I'm hoping it can sneak a week inside the T40 at least.

Most of the new climbers are also doing well on Spotify so I think there's still time for them all ESP the likes of Craig David are only on radio 1s playlist now.

Watching the way 'Secret Love Song' is rising so quickly with basically no support behind it is making me think that with the music video and Radio 1 support, could it possibly be their 4th #1 single? Like #25 already seems pretty insane as I've not really heard it being pushed yet, and Bieber can't stay there forever.

 

I think with a Brits performance (which I would like to think could very well happen) it would be a real career defining moment for them.

Oh God at 'Stitches' looking like it's going to #01. I mean, it seems all you have to do to get a #01 nowadays is be a young pretty boy and sing a song with a very basic melody without any interesting production. Will be two in a row. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy 'Love Yourself' but it doesn't really sound like a #01 to me and 'Stitches' certainly doesn't in all its blandness.

Tons of #1s throughout history haven't "sounded like" #1s to me either.

All these potential and future hits climbing at pretty great paces today! Must just be down to low sales [/Doctor Blind], but this is a good thing coz it sets them up for when momentum really picks up for them. :cheer:

Really want a BRITs performance for them, but I get the feeling that if they do get one this year, then they'll use it for 'Black Magic' :(

Edit: Was played yesterday at 7:11, 16:13 and 19:49 after a quick look on Capital London yesterday. Plus "Love Me Like You" was played a few times too.

Stitches is nice but not #1 material. It's grown on me a lot though from not liking it so I feel like I'll probably get to really like it (and then inevitably tire of it when it's still in the top 10 in April :lol:).

A BRITs perf would send it #1 surely *.* But yes, sadly the acts do normally use the slot for old songs as a celebration of the year rather than promoting new singles.

Secret Love Song has been on the H list on Capital for over 3 weeks now, it's been getting the same amount of daily played since it were playlisted. Why it had such a huge increase last night of all times is still a mystery - but Kiss did start playing it yesterday too, it is probably due to the gift effect falling away
