13.99 does feel like a bit much. I think £11.99 would have been a lot better.

As much as I would pay anything to own this masterpiece, I do have to agree. I just hope the price doesn't put people off as it really should be her career defining album.

yay for Purple Rain, I knew it would be top 10

and kinda relieved PJ Harvey is #16!!!

Just another note that Purple Rain OST will probably be a million seller by the end of this week, if it isn't already.

The albums 1999, The Very Best of Prince, Ultimate Prince, HITnRUN Phase One and Dirty Mind are on track to reach new peaks - the latter is one of his first albums and previously failed to reach the Top 100.

Positions for Get Weird, Secret Love Song and Work From Home, please?

Great to see "Hair" top 20 already. Hope it gets higher

Are "The Hits 1" and "The Hits 2" by Prince charting separately as per their original appearance in the Charts or are Sales rolled up into "The Hits/The B-Sides" ?
The fact that Lemonade isn't streaming on Spotify should drive up the iTunes sales. Is it streaming on Apple Music?

no

only tidal

but think itunes cherry picks will damage the album sales

This of course begs the question (sorry if it's been asked elsewhere) but has any artist ever occupied the whole of the Top 5 albums before? I'm thinking probably not, even after they've passed away.

I don't think they have! But of course Beyonce will be in the top 5 somewhere by Friday.

Great to see Little Mix top 20 even with Prince in the mix! Not sure whether Sunday's Spotify will push it down but hope it can remain top 20 come Friday's chart.

They're charting separately, although it seems The Hits 1 and The Hits 2 are low on stock because the former is low Top 200 and the latter is not charting.

Wow at Prince holding all of the top 5 albums - it obviously won't stay that way with Beyoncé coming, but could he hold onto 5 of the top 6? That's seriously impressive even in such a dreadful sales climate. Pleased to see 'Purple Rain' is on course for the top 10 singles as well, I thought some of the predictions were still being a bit pessimistic even with its lack of streaming. It had a gigantic lead on iTunes combined on Friday.

Depends if there's currently a lack of stock and this is sorted out before the end of the week - they way things are going, I can see Adele and Sia making the Top 5, with either falling out when Beyonce inevitably gets there.

Wow, in a normal week Katherine Jenkins could well get the number one album with around 6k Copies!.

On a regular week, either Sia or Adele would be #1 with 7-8k and Katherine would be out of the Top 5. That's what I've worked out.

Do you have chart position for Shawn Mendes 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' and Nick Jonas 'Close' please? :)
