I wonder what odds you could get for Leicester to win the Champions League and get relegated this season.

Mourinho at united this year seriously reminds me of his return to chelsea in 2013 when they finished his first season so well and continued it all into the following seasons title win!

Closely followed by his meltdown during the 3rd year!? Man Utd are always going to there or thereabouts for the title. It's the least you would expect when you're spending money like it's going out of fashion.

But I should add, that 13/14 season, no matter what anyone says about Liverpool. Chelsea completely bottled the title that year. Mourinho really messed the latter end of the season up there.

I think you bottled it after you were winning 3-0 against Palace... :P

Both teams did in truth (well actually might as well throw Arsenal in there as well as they spent more days top of league than anyone else). That really was a bizarre season with some ridiculous scorelines between the big clubs. Chelsea really had the best chance but blew it with defeats against Palace, Villa & Sunderland...
Is Ranieri talking out of his arse? This is a decapitation of a team that we've seen in the Premier League.

Nah the title had gone by then, it was the Chelsea game that was the killer. Draw that and we win the league. Gerrard lost his head completely after the first goal.

Chelsea had about two games in hand against poor teams. Think they lost and drew a few games in a row, but it went right under the radar. Arsenal were top of the league to that year until the February meltdown.

We're spending money like it's going out of fashion? UEFA literally invented rules to crack down on the rampant money laundering by the dirty owners of Chelsea and City.

We spent less than City this year and that included a world record transfer fee. We've also only spent really big in the post fergie era. All indications are this one will be a big summer too with Greizeman but when you're literally the wealthiest club in the world you can afford it. (And don't even start with the debt. Our debt is all in dollars because we're owned by tight fisted yanks. The value of the debt in USD is unchanged. It's increased in GBP value because brexit caused the pound to throw itself off the top of the shard. We're also a publicly listed company and in order to maximise the return for the glazers when they sold the 12 shares on the NYSE they weren't afraid to keep us with debt on our books because it actually increases the share price - up to a point but the in depth of Mogdiliani and Miller is a theorem for another time)

Of course you'll spend big, you can afford it, but you never actually need to spend the money you do. It's all a marketing and commercial ploy. It's fine to spend money when you have it, I mean I wish our owners would spend a bit more, but that's another story. Just imo the 'marquee' signings don't always make the best signings. It just keeps the fans happy. Happily see you spend £80m on Grizeman, purely because I don't think he's what you need.

They're definitely going down right now unless they get rid of Ranieri. Hull look a lot more solid, Swansea look a different team and then who knows about Sunderland/Palace. Bournemouth, Burnley and Watford could fall back in to it as well. Not sure the players right now have the mentality, not sure where a bunch of mediocre players goes after winning the league. Last year was a complete and utter fluke.

The game vs Hull is absolutely massive.

I don't know, I might be the only person who thinks this but I just can't envisage Leicester getting relegated this season. For them to go down they would have to be on Aston Villa levels of form for the remainder of the season and looking at the fixtures that they have in April & May I think they will pick up quite a lot victories then.

It's not even as if they're cut adrift at the foot of the table now like they were at this stage in the 2014/15 season. Their confidence is just very low at the moment but all it takes is one victory to give them the boost that they need.

I think you still had a slim chance of the title by the time you were playing Palace, so it hadn't completely gone. The Chelsea defeat was a massive blow for you though, no doubt about that.

Something around 500-1 I saw back in November.

At the rate they are going, this is going to be the worst finish after winning the championship. Prior to this, I think Chelsea finishing 10th was the worst finish after winning the championship. Had a look online over the seasons..
Chelsea have the Premier League record. In 1938 Manchester City were relegated after winning the title the previous season. They went down despite being the highest scorers in the league.

Slim chance, but it was dependent on Man City dropping points against West Ham at home on the final day, as the Palace game was a Monday night iirc and City had already won their weekend game. The reason why we drew that game was because we tried to swing the goal difference back our way, then lost our heads completely after the 2nd goal went in. The Chelsea defeat was the killer. That was just a crazy season though in general.

Still think Leicester are gonna go down. Palace are in trouble if they don't pick up some points shortly. Their home form is shocking and they have to go away to most of the big clubs still.

Right now I would say it's Leicester, Palace & Boro going down (they can't buy a win & are content to draw every game 0-0 which obviously wouldn't be enough). Sunderland always survive don't they & have one of the league's best strikers based on current form!

Hull & Swansea to both pull away now, Bournemouth to survive by the skin of their teeth.

Then why don't they play like a team then, Crystal Palace.

Bournemouth are in a battle here possibly.

If Ranieri hadn't won the title for Leicester City, there's no doubt that he would have been sacked by now. Where do you stand regarding Ranieri? I blame the players myself but he has to make changes.

Mark Clattenburg is quitting refereeing in the Premier League to go to Saudi Arabia instead. Good riddance to him, he is one of the worst referees I've ever seen!
