Saw this today, utterly loved it! Cynthia has such an incredible voice, it is SO powerful yet warm and sweet at the same time. I've never really gotten into Ariana Grande personally but I take my hat off to her, she is excellent in this role as the quite selfish but not aware of it, Glinda. The ending of it was one of the most powerful experiences I have had in cinema, I was holding my breath, utterly marvellous. Cannot wait for part 2 now.

I saw this tonight and enjoyed it sooo much more than I thought to the point I can't really fault it! Didn't feel as long as it was at all so it was very well paced, Cynthia in particular did an amazing job vocally and the

cameo

was a real highlight for me x

I went do see this today and thought it was really good.

 

I was left a little underwhelmed with the musical when I saw it at the start of the year but this movie exceeded it for me.

Really good! Cynthia was great and Ari really did great as a supporting actress - surprised she did her own stunts too!

Digital release confirmed for 3rd January! Surprised it's this early?

Saw that a few days ago and I absolutely LOVED it :yahoo: the part where Glinda dances with Elphaba is very touching. My only conplaint is the flirting between Glinda and Fiyero in the library is a bit cringey :kink:

Visually stunning film and of course a great story/plot.

Watched this yesterday and it was so much fun. I’ve never seen the musical so didn’t know the story but I thought it whizzed by, couldn’t believe it had been on for almost 3 hours

 

Ariana was really good in it - I wasn’t sold in the first scene but once they got to the school she was perfect for the role and had just the right amount of humour

I am very excited for this!

I do think it looks a bit *too* glossy/polished, but we'll see how that translates in the full feature. Especially as I know a lot of people's issues with the first half was that the cinematography felt a bit flat and desaturated/lacking vibrancy to them. But I feel like that was probably intentional?

We'll see though! I'm hyped to hear the original songs! I assume they're gonna be big hits over Q4...
