June 23, 201610 yr hmm I'm not sure about political shift due to the fact as you said the parties are so divided! I think a slight remain vote may swing some tories to UKIP but nothing major imo
June 23, 201610 yr I'm interested to see the Gibraltar result. Surely they should be close to 100% for Remain purely for geographical reasons? I'm not so sure, there's no love lost between the rock and España.
June 23, 201610 yr ALTHOUGH one of my coworkers has gone from a labour supporter from last may to full blown UKIP supporter for this. people never fail to amaze me
June 23, 201610 yr There'll be another birthday next year :P I'm slightly terrified that Farage is going to ruin my birthday forever.
June 23, 201610 yr hmm I'm not sure about political shift due to the fact as you said the parties are so divided! I think a slight remain vote may swing some tories to UKIP but nothing major imo ALTHOUGH one of my coworkers has gone from a labour supporter from last may to full blown UKIP supporter for this. people never fail to amaze me That does seem to be a trend at the moment. Labour have been losing ground to UKIP in the working class areas in recent elections so that's not a trend that surprises me too much.
June 23, 201610 yr ITV reporting that Farage has "unconceded" his prediction!!!!! You couldn't make this up...
June 23, 201610 yr Labour are losing ground to UKIP because UKIP are reasoning with them. The working class are the ones that feel the full effects of immigration, austerity and the housing crisis. It's been a culmination of things from the past 20 years that have led to this, and they just go to people that promise them the world, but will likely make things worse than they actually already are. I mean, can you imagine UKIP in control of the country? It would be like absolute carnage. People are lost, but things aren't going to get better for these people in the short term, and probably not even the long term either.
June 23, 201610 yr I loved the BBC map there when they showed most remain areas and basically the whole of Scotland was lit up!
June 23, 201610 yr I won't be staying up as I have work early tomorrow, but I'll check back first thing in the morning. Very pleased to see the alleged high turnout, hopefully that means a lot of younger people actually turned up to vote :D
June 23, 201610 yr There's a good drinking game in this. Take a shot everytime a BBC presenter or reporter says "anecdotally"...
June 23, 201610 yr LIVING for dimbleby slagging the papers and then the shade thrown at Farage. Also is it just me or is Grayling an utter twatsack?
June 23, 201610 yr Also is it just me or is Grayling an utter twatsack? Completely. It's people like him put me off the right.
June 23, 201610 yr Well, we know what line Central Office have given to all Tories. Is there any point in talking to any more of them when we know exactly what they've been told to say?
June 23, 201610 yr Now we get the UKIP complaints, completely ignoring the fact that three papers have devoted almost every front page to anti-EU propaganda for weeks.
June 23, 201610 yr The thing I dislike about the BBC is that their impartiality clause means that we have to let UKIP on TV. They honestly disgust me.
June 23, 201610 yr Now we get the UKIP complaints, completely ignoring the fact that three papers have devoted almost every front page to anti-EU propaganda for weeks. All of the largest selling papers and most powerful media outlets (aside from the neutral BBC who they are hellbent on crippling anyway) have come out on their side. They've had unequal coverage and you could argue that brexit is the establishment in this vote.
