The YouGov one isn't an exit poll as such, it's effectively another opinion poll that's been conducted today. They got it wrong in last year's election, however, they were quite close with the Scottish Result, so I think they will probably have it quite close again - maybe even tipping slightly more into Remain's favour.

Split off a new topic for the referendum night as I feel it may get busy if a lot of us are staying up because tenseness.

Good plan stan! I've closed the other topic to divert attention here.

not sure what to do as I have a full day tomorrow! I think I might try to sleep before any results come out so I don't get sucked in, but then wake up between 5-6 to catch up :') i'm so nervous rn

I'm thinking the same, otherwise I will be dead for work tomorrow. Hmmmm.

yeah I was also surprised to hear about Farage! I wonder if we'll have another resignation then return of farage

All early signs are pointing to remain..

YouGov poll, betting forecasts, financial markets, Farage being very cryptic.. think someone knows something we don't!

One thing I do know is Labour better pull their fingers out of their arses and start bringing some of their core UKIP support back. Unthinkable to think awe could be like on 2020..

I'm torn with what to do. Usually I'd try and make it, but it's my birthday tomorrow and I don't want to be a walking zombie all day.
If the vote is that close, sadly Farage won't be going anywhere. There's still a significant portion of the country who want out, which Farage will capitalise on.

I think the only way we're getting rid of that thing is to cast it into the fire of mordor.

Definitely a surprise! I thought him of all people would be clinging on to hope as much as possible!

It's interesting, I suspect some part of that is him covering his bases so he can continue being the political cockroach he is should he not win this one.

It really depends where you are though. Are you in a city? Because if so it's much more likely to be remain because they're more used to diversity, have younger crowds, etc. Also, as with 'secret tories' or whatever they're called, there's probably secret leavers too.

Yeah I live in a city, probably the most diverse city in England to be exact so I guess you're right.

Given what happened the last time there was a referendum on these isles, does any one think there will be a political shift following the vote?

I think, unlike Scotland, this is an issue which has divided parties - for the most part - so I don't think we will see the same swing towards UKIP that we saw to the SNP post indyref.

According to a poll I saw on twitte,r 7% of UKIP supporters have voted to Remain! If somebody wants to write a Vice thinkpiece about interviewing these people then just make sure you credit me.
also REALLY hoping for a high turnout amongst young people

Certainly feel like there was more younger people engaged than ever before, which is great to see. Hopefully it'll continue into the general election.

There'll be another birthday next year :P
