Is this UKIP woman for real? Basically admitting that they have made the EU into a scapegoat when it's in fact the Conservative government who should be blamed!!!!

Angela Eagle hit nail on head there - blaming Brussels has been matter of course for ages, no wonder it's seeped into the national thought.

I'm saying this from a position of total ignorance so I'm prepared to look stupid but surely you could still get an English/French translating job in the EU? The UK isn't the only EU country with English as its primary language.

Yeah for sure, and to be honest I'm not sure how it works with regards to Ireland having English as an EU language (obviously English is important in the EU outside Ireland too!) and the nationality of Fr>En translators in the EU if the UK weren't part of it.

I'm probably just getting a little emotional. :D

Shit of death 78/22 in Foyle!!! Thank you NI

One of the JOYS of being in a highly nationalist area, we should probably have a strong vote for remain too.

Are there any particularly Unionist area's that could nullify these large votes or do you expect that the country as a whole will see sense?

YAY my party finally on TV :cheer: Love Tasmina, she's a fabulous MP and a great spokeswoman for Scotland our party.

Was she not a Tory in a previous life?

North Antrim seems to have had a very strong turnout and is very Unionist. In general apparently the strongly Unionist constituencies have seen the biggest turnout increases on last month, which is slightly worrying, but Unionist seem to be split fairly evenly on both sides so hopefully it doesn't add up to much.

If we have to have Leave places declaring, margins like that will be better than what happened in Sunderland. That's slightly relieved me (even though they are still shit).
F. U. Swindon

No, that's okay.

If we're gonna leave then I'd rather know now though. These results are giving me an aneurysm.

No, that's okay.

Oh, I know, but I was JUST ABOUT allowing myself to think positive thoughts again

She was indeed! We all make mistakes in our youth!! :P

Hopefully they come in on the fence then, a strong NI Remain vote is as crucial as a strong Scotland/London vote.

Broxbourne vote decisively for leave. f*** the home counties.

I've said it before and I'll say it a million more times, I really couldn't be more embarrassed to be British. If it was feasible, I honestly would be looking at living elsewhere.

In her case, she made a mistake and then made a much bigger one.

But pro-EU politicians have sat back and let that happen for years. Now we might be paying the price for that.
