Will Drake get a 14th week "sigh" he could be looking at another week or two at #1, his streaming sales is keeping him there. Hardly any new entries apart from Olly Murs in the singles chart.

Biffy Clyro 'Ellipses', The Avalanches 'Wildflower', Shura 'Nothing's Real' should be the highest new albums in the top 10, the former will probably bag the #1 album this week, other new albums from Lawson, ScHoolboy Q, Roisin Murphy, Heart, Aphex Twin and BADBADNOTGOOD.

Breakdown of the week

Ooh, look at Shura with her album at number 4 so far. All the top 5 are new entries, she should be top 10 at least.

Going by Amazon and iTunes, I'm guessing the Top 5 new albums consist of Biffy Clyro, Lawson, Shura The Avalanches and either ScHoolboy Q or Heart.

Biffy should easily be #1, I'm guessing in the 30-40k region, and could quite possibly sell well (or, in other words, drop less sharply than the norm) for the rest of the month as I believe they're touring.

I'd like to see Olly Murs in the top 5, and Calum Scott a bit higher in the top 10 too.
Great to see Shura in the top 5! Great album.

Yes, I think Biffy Clyro should break the run of single week Number 1's we are in at the moment.

they Biffy should do 50k minimum

Olly Murs' weekly sales for his singles:

121,497 - Troublemaker (#1)

109,151 - Heart Skips a Beat (#1)

93,239 - Please Don't Let Me Go (#1)

75,081 - Wrapped Up (#3)

59,657 - Thinking of Me (#3)

54,452 - Up (#4)

52,150 - Dear Darlin' (#5)

46,584 - Dance With Me Tonight (#1)

27,583 - Kiss Me (#11)

23,772 - Oh My Goodness (#13)

19,895 - Army of Two (#12)

14,286 - Seasons (#34)

13,265 - Heart On My Sleeve (#20)

8,838 - Right Place, Right Time (#27)

7,562 - Busy (#45)

Don't know where it'll end up but I don't think it'll trouble the top 5 (of the above list).

Edited by Hassaan

Can imagine Lawson starting off well and dropping rapidly - Even with the low sales of be surprised if they ended up Top 10 considering the last 2 singles didn't trouble the Top 100 ('Money' may have scrape in until it was mysteriously made chart ineligible).
Hopefully a new number 1 but sadly U don't see it happening, he always seems to creep up and get it, I don't get it, I really don't, its not a great song, not a classic that will be remembered in 10 years
I think Chainsmokers - Don't Let Me Down has a good chance at No 1, if not this week then next week, although I am enjoying Drake's run at No 1, 13 weeks and counting.

Just listened to it, meh, just sounds as generic as everything else out there

Yes, I think Biffy Clyro should break the run of single week Number 1's we are in at the moment.

I imagine Biffy will be quite front loaded!

CHART NEWS:

Drake looking good for number 1 again. Sort of want him to beat Bryan Adams now just for LOLs.
Shura’s not top 10. YOU PEOPLE.

Murs at 14, Charli Puth climbing to 34. Soooooo exciting!!!!!!
(Olly is #3 on downloads only).

The weird John Newman single is going in at 78. What’s that all about?
Bloody hell at John Newman - The song is diabolical but he's looking like he'll miss the Top 100!

This Girl is obviously going to miss out getting number 1.

Who's the contender now? The Chainsmokers?

Jonas and Calum are too low on streams to even consider being a number 1 challenger.

Olly Murs' weekly sales for his singles:

121,497 - Troublemaker (#1)

109,151 - Heart Skips a Beat (#1)

93,239 - Please Don't Let Me Go (#1)

59,657 - Thinking of Me (#3)

54,452 - Up (#4)

52,150 - Dear Darlin' (#5)

46,584 - Dance With Me Tonight (#1)

27,583 - Kiss Me (#11)

23,772 - Oh My Goodness (#13)

19,895 - Army of Two (#12)

14,286 - Seasons (#34)

13,265 - Heart On My Sleeve (#20)

8,838 - Right Place, Right Time (#27)

7,562 - Busy (#45)

Don't know where it'll end up but I don't think it'll trouble the top 5 (of the above list).

Dance With Me Tonight had higher sales than the week it was #1:

3/12/11: 74,475 (#2)

10/12/11: 62,417 (#2)

17/12/11: 46,584 (#1)

24/12/11: 41,726 (#3)

31/12/11: 38,217 (#6)

7/1/12: 76,822 (#2)

14/1/12: 31,809 (#6)

Which makes Wrapped Up #5 on this list so his new one would need to sell 75k to be top 5 :P
