Maybe we should make a separate thread? I’ve never watched an AEW PPV in full before. It was so much better than any WWE one in ages! The fans being back might have added a little extra but will definitely keep following now.

We could make a separate thread for AEW. I normally watch Dynamite every week and all of the PPV's and it is great, Double Or Nothing was a fantastic show last night. My favourite match was the tag team match between The Young Bucks Vs Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley. The only match that wasn't so good was the Cody Rhodes Vs Antony Ogogo match and that is one that has got quite a lot of criticism.

Lashley and Mcintyre again :lol: I really think Drew needs a big break from the title picture as there's nothing to gain as he won't be winning the title back anytime soon anyway and has become quite boring in the last 6 months (even from someone who is a Drew fan).

 

Maybe call up someone from NXT or bring Keith Lee back to face Lashley instead.

Yeah I thought Vince was big on him. Clearly something changed when he joined the main roster. Mia is also not being used either ironically but I think this is stupid creative rearing it's head once again ~

 

Just send them back to NXT if you don't know what to do with them.

WWE has announced some shocking talent releases. Braun Strowman, Aleister Black & Buddy Murphy.

 

Also parted ways with Ruby Riott, Lana, Murphy and Santana Garrett.

Wow that really is shocking! :o

 

 

I saw a YouTube thumbnail of a video today saying that major WWE releases were going to happen but I never would have guessed Braun Strowman would be part of it as he seemed like a company man and he was in the triple threat match for the WWE title only a few weeks ago. Aleister Black is another surprising one only because he has been appearing in promos on Smackdown recently and he interfered in Big E's match about 2 weeks ago. This could be the perfect opportunity for Lana to join her husband Miro (Rusev) in AEW if they will take her on. Ruby Riott and Buddy Murphy were not being used much so their releases are not a massive shock. I didn't even know Santana Garrett was still in the company.

It's a shame for Lana though, she's been working so hard to fit what they want.

 

Be weird without Ruby too, the tag team division for the women is now really sparse.

Braun sticks out as a surprising release despite not really caring about him at all. If they were going to release Black then they should have done it before he returned to TV. Him being let go just after getting on TV and starting a feud with Big E just feels very messy to me lol but that's typical WWE.

 

Lana is definitely joining Miro in AEW is a garuntee probably managing him. Ruby and Buddy are the two I'm sad to see go though. I know they haven't been used recently

but both are really talented and deserved better personally.

I’m so shocked at this I’m gutted for Ruby in particular. She was such an underrated gem who imo had all the tools and skills to be a main event player in the women’s division but they just never let her be . It’s also a crime her and Liv never got to become tag champs they were legit the most established and put together team they had . Lana while not the greatest in the ring had other attributes where she excelled at and I admired her passion and dedication to get better in the ring . I’m shocked at the men’s releases in particular Braun and Aleister who I’m sure just returned in the Main Event of Smackdown 2 weeks ago ? :huh:

I'm low-key only gutted for Ruby & (to a slightly lesser extent) Buddy, but they are big names that seem shocking regardless of how I feel about them (Santana Garrett aside).

 

I'm so sad for Ruby. She is someone who never got to fully utilise her potential on either NXT or the main roster (at least the NXT guys had some kind of moment). The way that Riott Squad really should have been Tag Champs... UGH. Buddy is incredibly gifted. Such a great, underrated talent.

 

Aleister Black bored me. Never my thing really and I never got the hype - but he was popular. Lana is surprising considering how much effort they'd recently put into her... but again, I never really cared for her much. I don't know Santana enough to comment. Braun is a huge surprise - but I'm not particularly mad at it. He's truly run his course and been the same, stale character for 3 or 4 years now.. no growth whatsoever. MEH.

 

EDIT: Also, WWE truly tore apart their women's tag division... didn't they?! :puke:

Apparently WWE could be sale to NBC universal soon.

 

I get why they let go of Braun, he’s on huge wages and I think he’s peaked. He’s not really going to manage much else than he’s already accomplished.

 

I believe Buddy asked to be released, he’s a huge talent and deserved much better.

 

Proper shocked at Aleistar though as he seemed to be ready to get a huge push and was also shocked at Lana considering the time that been put into her.

Santana recently zoomed in on her holiday onto lots of blue lives matter flags. Trump flags, confederate and F Biden flags. Not a good look, bit awkward Raquel liked it too.

I'm more surprised Jaxson Ryker hasn't been released than Dana :lol: you think the fans care about him after his Trump thing last year?

There are only 3 tag teams in the women's division on the main roster now. Nia/Shayna, Dana/Mandy & Natalya/Tamina. The women's tag team championship is just going to be hot potatoed between Nia's team and Tamina's team, unless they do what I'm suspecting they might do which is make Alexa Bliss and the doll tag team champions. It was a stupid decision to give NXT their own women's tag team championships as well when they could have just challenged for the main roster belts.

I’m pretty sure Nia and Shayna are splitting up soon as well so that will leave them with just 2 teams in the women’s tag division.... :huh:

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they have Dana and Mandy break up this year either. Then they'll have no choice but to axe the belts :drama:

They should never have had NXT women’s tag titles, it would have helped the titles of nxt were involved
