April 9, 20187 yr Author I am split on WM... The first half was literally one of the best PPV's I'd seen in a long time. Rousey/Angle vs Steph/Trips was outstanding. It made so much sense for her first match to be against Steph, coz imo, Steph and Trips have the strongest in-ring psychology imo. Then after that it seemed to be a bit... "oh. Ok then"... and the main event.. wtf was THAT?!? Peaked 3 hours too early imo. But no proper squashes (well one was an extended squash match) which I loved. But AJ vs Shinsuke under delivered for me. :( It didn't go anywhere? The problem with 2 faces battling each other imo. But after the ending, I'm assuming they're gonna be in a programme for a little longer. Conflicted as to what to rate/think of it overall. I feel like the first half was definitely a 9/10 out of 10 for me, but then the 2nd half, although not hating or disliking it, it was very average and more like a 5 out of 10. So I guess a 7 out of 10 overall? Poor for what is their biggest event, but then again it's been a while since Mania was the best PPV... I shall give a detailed match by match review later, maybe!
April 9, 20187 yr rankings for the night. Andre Memorial Battle Royal 8/10 - This was perhaps the best of all the battle royals at wm I think helped by the Hardy win/Wyatt alliance. Cruiserweight Title 10/10 - one of the most energetic matches (obviously) so many flawless move spots. Women's Battle Royal - 6/10 Intercontinental Title - 8.5/10 Charlotte v Asuka - 9/10 - only downer Was Asuka losing her streak which was a shame, she doesn't necessarily need it to be champ tho. US Title 6.0/10 - could have been better and I didn't like that it was Rusev who's the most over atm that got pinned by jinder. lmao at them still pushing him super hard :') Kurt and Ronda V Triple H & Stephanie 10/10 - really entertaining match, all brought it to this match, steph mainly for ring psychology. Smackdown tag titles 5/10 - I liked the Bludgeon Brother being dominant but I was disappointed that the other teams get more of an chance to do some amazing stuff. plus it was very short too. Cena v Taker 3/10 - I did enjoy Taker squashing Cena to some extent but I'd like to see a much lengthier match. Shane and Daniel V Kami - 6/10 I think the fact that Shane wasn't a 100% took away from the match. Daniel Sami and Kevin all carried the match to a Decent outcome. Alexa v Nia - 5.5/10 - Glad they got 10 minutes and alexa got some offence in but I think Because I knew Nia would win kinda knocks it down. I'm happy for her finally winning the title but I think this was a good but kinda mistake match and it was pretty obvious Nia was going to be super dominant. Styles v Nakamura - 6/10 - For some reason I wasn't that impressed with this, it could have been way better. it wasn't like average or massively underwhelming because they both delivered some key moves moments etc but I just feel compared to the hype for it being a wrestlemania dream classic, it felt like it could have been even better for me to raise its rankage Nakamura turning heel was fantastic and made for a genuine shock moment! Bar v Strowman and Nicholas - 1/10 - OK the kid thing might have been a sweet gesture but I wasn't ever invested in this match. Slightly disappointed Samoa Joe didn't be his tag partner tbh but I doubt the match would have been any better because they are all powerhouses and those are like the Khali v Kane type monster bouts that are just dull. Finally Reigns V Lesnar 0/10 - Lmao, what the hell was this. Im beyond tired of the Lesnar domination and Reigns coming back with his very limited moveset and 2 signature moves. I guess Lesnar winning was a surprise but it wasn't a good enough reason to stop this match from being same old and boring. Raw better deliver too! Edited April 9, 20187 yr by Rob S
April 9, 20187 yr I thought that the Ronda Rousey match was easily the best match of WrestleMania and it's one that I could watch over and over again, I've already watched it twice so far! It was pantomime wrestling at it's best and it brought back memories of the heel Triple H and Stephanie McMahon that i disliked (in a good wrestling way) growing up when the company was known as WWF. Ronda did really well considering it was her first wrestling match and she showed how strong she is by lifting Triple H onto her shoulders at one point in the match. The rest of the event was largely average in my opinion. The Intercontinental Championship match was decent and so was the Smackdown Women's Championship match but i was really surprised that Asuka lost and it means that building up her undefeated streak for all these months was just for nothing. The Undertaker vs John Cena match was a load of shite and i personally think that Taker needs to just retire now for good as each time he comes back to wrestle it just gets worse and worse. As for the main event the crowd reaction during the match said it all.
April 9, 20187 yr http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/lesnar-vi...n/#.Wsu29n8h3IW Oh dear! Vince and Brock got into an altercation after WM last night. I'm assuming it's down to Brock opening Reigns up. Vinny Mc has some serious balls getting into it with Brock f'n Lesnar!
April 9, 20187 yr f*** Asuka losing. Seriously. They've left some money off the table because an undefeated Asuka vs. an undefeated Rousey at next years WM could have been absolutely huge  On the topic of Rousey, how bloody good did she look last night? The whole match was an absolute riot from start to finish and the very clear highlight.
April 10, 20187 yr Think we can agree Nicholas was the star of this wrestlemania weekend *.* shame on them for that main event, setting it up perfectly for a glorious troll victory for Reigns....then he lost :nocheer: cowards! Ronda did great in her debut though, best match on the show easily!
April 10, 20187 yr QfNG-YJ3YmU I think this is the first time that I've actually been devastated about a superstar retiring, it makes it worse that she just returned from injury (probably a bit too early) and she's no longer able to do something that she loves, it's such a great shame as you can tell WWE had massive plans for her and I'm guessing she would have been raw women's champion by now. I'm surprised that Absolution have split, I actually expected her to remain around WWE for much longer and possibly be a commentator etc / Smackdown general manager but her speech and the reaction of superstars seems to indicate that her run with WWE is over, she's been removed from the active roster to the alumini section but it's nice to see her go full circle and I'm guessing it made sense for her to retire at the stadium she debuted! She also managed to get an extra couple of months in WWE with managing absolution but yeah..... we all knew she was retired but still doesn't make it anymore sad. She's so over with the fans despite being a heel :(
April 14, 20187 yr that was short lived (her appearance on TV) as she's now GM of SmackDown. Shakeup coming next week, hopefully Balor, Becky, Sasha and perhaps Jeff get moved!
April 16, 20187 yr John Cena and Nikki Bella split up 3 weeks before they were going to get married. oooops that Wrestlemania moment will be a now meaningless moment. Edited April 16, 20187 yr by Rob S
April 16, 20187 yr I'm really surprised by that, it's gonna be very awkward now for the two of them and even more awkward for the Total Bellas/ Total Divas programme.
April 16, 20187 yr I'm expecting Rusev, Becky Lynch and Baron Corbin to move to Raw in the shake up. Finn Balor, Elias and/or Braun Strowman could potentially move to Smackdown. I think Braun Strowman has done all that he can on Raw now so he may as well move shows, especially as the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar barely defends his title or shows up on Raw.
April 16, 20187 yr They're currently filming Total Divas so will no doubt have caught all this on camera! I'm guessing it's due to children.
April 16, 20187 yr OH, Rumour has it Someone cheated.... @JohnCena More We all have good and bad days. No one is perfect, but if you happen to do something to make someone feel bad, TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY for your actions, APOLOGIZE, and ASK FORGIVENESS. @JohnCena 3h3 hours ago More Hardship, loss, and humility are extremely difficult waters to navigate, but perseverance thru them builds a strength to withstand anything life throws your way.
April 23, 20187 yr Greatest Royal rumble on Friday for 6 hours :drama: I hope there's some sort of prize for the winner of that match and better surprises!
April 24, 20187 yr Good to see that in tonight's RAW that it will be dedicated to the late, great Bruno Sammartino.
April 24, 20187 yr Noticed that this Royal Rumble event is on Sky Sports Box Office, wow wonder how many people will be paying for it, surely not too many you would have thought, especially with it starting at five, and not finishing until tenish.
April 27, 20187 yr Jinder bumping for no reason at all  Maybe it was the heat getting to everybody?
