October 31, 20168 yr This series is becoming an absolute shambles. I only really like Saara of who's left. 4 of Diamonds and ESPECIALLY Ryan need to leave asap. I like Honey G but they've done her all wrong in the live shows. I really don't "get" Emily or Sam either, 5am and Matt are good but not by cup of tea.
October 31, 20168 yr I just hope Ryan or 4oD gets the pole position of performing first, with the Strictly clash, I'm sure performing first also adds to it. It just annoys me when 4oD and Ryan were in the bottom a few times, when Gifty was never in the bottom previous weeks and Nicole and Sharon just dump a potential act. If Honey G is in the bottom 3 I bet the public would keep her in (flash vote), along with Ryan and 4oD. And I'm so over Honey G now, its just a one trick pony, looks like she has lost a lot of weight as well  with all the prancing about.
October 31, 20168 yr When One Direction were there biggest act they kept trying to push clones of them. Now it's Little Mix I guess they are doing the same. The thing is like Union J, 4 of Bad Lashes will always be a watered down version of the bigger act. I also don't know how the show will get rid of Ryan. They aimed enough buses at him this week. I can see one week they will drop the lifeline vote and then he will end up being safe that week and it back fires on them.
October 31, 20168 yr Well Union J seemed to work for Simon from the point of view of making a quick extra buck off the 1D/boyband trend, so maybe he's hoping 4 of Diamonds can do the same? Even if people aren't actually voting for them?
October 31, 20168 yr I am so surprised Gifty was voted off, i am not disappointed as i didn't enjoy her but i felt she was the one they had singled out to be the winner. Giving her a boring Fifth Harmony song did her no favours but i was very shocked the judges did not save her as i would have bet a thousand quid the judges would have all eliminated 4 of Diamonds. 4OD based on the Saturday performance did not deserve bottom 3, Ryan and Gifty did and Honey G should have been the other act bottom 3. Ryan really has to go next. Saara is certainly the most interesting act left as you really don't know what she will come up with next and i am delighted she avoided the bottom 3 again this week. I do think the Honey G bubble will burst soon as she is showing more and more each week that she is a one trick pony.
October 31, 20168 yr Ryan will go as soon as the lifeline vote's taken away, I'm pretty certain of that at this stage and unless whoever he's against in the sing-off really cocks up, he'll be out because he'd be out-sung. Ultimately I don't really think X Factor is the kind of show for artists like him :( Surely Saara and 4OD are due early slots this coming week? 4OD have been last - second last - second last in the three weeks they've taken part in. Saara's also been near the end the last couple of weeks, it's only fair. Honey G's also never been earlier than 4th in the running order I believe...
October 31, 20168 yr I saw Gifty being interviewed on TV this morning and "bitter" is an understatement......... There were some passive indirect shots fired at Honey G as well by her.
October 31, 20168 yr I don't blame her, I'd be pissed if some deranged woman shouting "it's the M I B's" beat someone who is genuinely talented. I liked Honey G at first but they've done her all wrong so that she's not even funny, just repetitive and boring.
October 31, 20168 yr I can potentially see her going on Celebrity Big Brother next year, this is the first time I can remember someone not sugar coating their emotions after being eliminated from The X Factor.
October 31, 20168 yr What did she say? Gifty does comes across as someone who is not afraid to speak her mind and i do like that. That said as a singer she is no big loss to the show. It will be interesting to see if she will chase 15 minutes of fame route.
October 31, 20168 yr It makes you wonder if Gifty was being a bit too much of a handful for the producers' liking behind the scenes, hence being thrown under the bus this week.
October 31, 20168 yr I do not blame Gifty at all. It might not be the most gracious way to be in the face of defeat but I doubt I would be best pleased either if I sang like she did in the sing-off and got ousted for a ropey girlband who just about pulled about a vaguely competent sing-off. It just defeats the purpose of a sing-off if they're gonna save the girlband because they've decided they need another Little Mix. Well Union J seemed to work for Simon from the point of view of making a quick extra buck off the 1D/boyband trend, so maybe he's hoping 4 of Diamonds can do the same? Even if people aren't actually voting for them? I've been saying this a lot, definitely agree. The way they're plugging Shout Out To My Ex and mentioning LM/having them in VTs does remind me of what they did for 1D for the few years they were massive, and I think because of the £££ potential (which isn't even there), they are giving 4OD a hell of a lot of leeway. What they need to realise is that Little Mix have the market, they are so brilliant and unique and you can't replicate them with 4 average singers who can't dance or harmonise... All the potential they speak of means nothing when they have a mentor who doesn't want them so they probably just do everything themselves, so they aren't going to be able to release it.
October 31, 20168 yr I do find that attitude quite unprofessional of Gifty. On the night it's understandable, but in those interviews, she is effectively at work to continue to market themselves as an artist and she's just marketing herself as being sullen and entitled.
October 31, 20168 yr This interview is even more telling, particularly 1:10 onwards when she rolls her eyes at Ryan Lawrie surviving: JL7qowNoXvg
October 31, 20168 yr This interview is even more telling, particularly 1:10 onwards when she rolls her eyes at Ryan Lawrie surviving: JL7qowNoXvg I totally understand how she feels and I would feel the same deep down, especially when you take into consideration that she's tried to make it on The X Factor in a previous year but got knocked back and had to keep her determination for all that time up until this year's auditions. Did anyone notice the facial expression Ryan made when he got saved by the lifeline vote again last night?
October 31, 20168 yr Having now had a look at the interviews, the thing that sticks out to me is that she tweeted about being a huge 5H fan and wanting to perform the songs that she did! If she really didn't want to sing the song, I don't know why she couldn't As for Ryan I did notice it and I feel a bit sorry for him in a way, thinking about it, he must feel kinda bad that he keeps scraping through and it's not his fault that there is this twist that caters to the sort of voters who vote for him. It must be pretty shitty to always be in that bottom few, I think if it was me I'd feel like I didn't deserve to be there and it'd niggle at me that I could have been last in each vote and people with more votes who more people want to stay may have gone in my place. Plus he likely gets a lot of shit for it and whilst I am annoyed that he's still there when he is a terrible singer imo, I am just thinking it's not his fault, the producers are the one who do the stupid twists that inevitably set scenarios like this up.
October 31, 20168 yr Having now had a look at the interviews, the thing that sticks out to me is that she tweeted about being a huge 5H fan and wanting to perform the songs that she did! If she really didn't want to sing the song, I don't know why she couldn't It's really not that easy, people underestimate the producers' influence. Kitty Brucknell said over the weekend that she was supposed to perform "Bad Romance" (in reference to Saara doing another of her back catalogue) on GaGa vs Queen week but refused to do that (presumably because she wanted to get away from the GaGa impersonator identity). The producers then lumbered her with "Don't Stop Me Now" (historically one of the worst song choices possible for surviving elimination), slot #1, ended up bottom 2 and was immediately out. If Gifty refused and got another song, she would still have been in slot #1, she'd have got some sort of horrendous production and still be made sure to fall into the bottom 3 for going against the producer's wishes. This is also why Ryan is completely out of favour after his comments a couple of weeks ago about being adamant about having his guitar back and that he is a musician, suggesting that he's being forced to do things he doesn't want to. On the flip side I think this is why Saara is getting such producer support at the moment. Various people behind the scenes have said she's a delight to work with, they can throw anything at her and she'll give 110% and this is the sort of person the producers want to keep around. If Saara ever decides that she's not happy by being the oxymoron that is the "very talented novelty act" then I imagine she'll be disposed of, but for the time being she's perfect casting for the show. She isn't a threat to the favourites (Matt and Emily, potentially 5AM) but she is completely happy to do crazy wacky performances at a very high level of performance. It's no coincidence that they've toned down the Finland remarks since weeks 1 and 2, if they want to get rid of Saara all they will have to do is bring those remarks back.
October 31, 20168 yr Finally managed to catch up. What a boring show, which seems weird to write considering the theatricality of "Fright Night"... That could be why I've ranked Emily as my fave of the night, BUT it was a brilliant performance. She took the theme and ran with it! Suited her so well. Saara's performance was as expected great, but wtf at that production though!! Honey G really needs to f*** off now. That performance was so boring! 5AM were terrible too as were Sam and Ryan. Disappointed with this week! :(
