I feel like the Buzzjack collective's tastes are so diverse that every genre is going to end up cancelling out at some point.

I guess but like dance/electro/indie have been the most prominent genre for as long as I've been entering, I imagine it has been for quite some time. I think it's just because most of those types of entries are in semi 2 it makes it feel like there's a "rock semi" and a "dance semi" when really there's only a handful of rock songs in this one, I've not heard the other semi but I imagine it's mostly dancey things

clearly countries like Taahino, Aelandor and Séyetana flying the flag for rock has resulted in more rock songs being entered,

it's kinda reminiscent of N DNTN, #00274E and Aeroche being the leaders of the dance/indeh revolution (but not quite as impaktful)

SeyeTaaelandor 2K17 is coming watch this space B-)

Voted! Still listening now actually but I've already ordered and I'm happy with my votes.

Oh the deadline isn't the same for both semis lol

edit: oh it is I just must've misread semi 2's when I checked it the other day.

If you're going to put no effort into voting and either random.org it or, *shudders* just vote for the first 10 songs in the running order then it's better not to vote at all.

It's disrespectful to everyone who has put great amount of effort into their song choice.

Basically

Surely it's equally if not more 'disrespectful' to the contest and its participants to randomise your votes?

This has more impact on everyone else in producing a less accurate outcome, and can be the difference between a qualifier on merit being pushed down by something that simply got lucky. If you find you don't have time to vote then at least by not voting you're taking the hit yourself with minimal impact on other participants (the vast majority of whom have put several hours into listening through and ordering). I don't mean to have a go here - I just hate the thought that randomising votes should be in any way encouraged.

I do agree though that if you ever foresee yourself having trouble finding the time to participate properly, it's best to sit the contest out (no shade Harve as I've struggled myself!).

It is equally as disrespectful to randomise your vote, which is why i mentioned it before the *shudders* ;)
So're you going to name and shame the person that's voted basically illegally and disqualify them or accept the votes as usual? It'd be a shame to count them as as Noah said, it could make a lot of difference to songs with the most actual support qualifying or not.

I meant that it's more disrespectful than not voting at all. I thought you were saying that it'd have been better to submit randomised votes than not vote at all, as Harve has done. (And that you'd meant to say 'participate' rather than 'vote' at the end of the sentence).

Apologies if I've misinterpreted.

We'll find out soon enough and you can't really prove anything. The person might just have terrible taste and actually enjoy the first 10 songs

It's pretty obvious given the points are given out in exactly the order the songs are in the running order.

The votes were not counted. I'm not going to name and shame. It will become obvious later. This person did vote ahead of the deadline though.

@Noah - I meant that it's better not to vote than not to randomise or do what has been done in this case. I english poorly.

Omg lmaoooo, if you do this at least try and cover up 😂😂😂
