353. Whatever You Want

446. Down Down

593. Caroline

774. In The Army Now

1154. Pictures Of Matchstick Men

Surprised there has not been more of a reaction - One of their many 'Greatest Hits' went Top 25 on the albums but is outside the Top 40 now.

Great to see Clean Bandit opening up such a huge lead! Hoping they'll manage to do 10 weeks at the top - which looks quite possible.
961. Saint Etienne - I Was Born On Christmas Day

Sure this must be the first time i've seen this in the itunes chart!

Nice little birthday present for Bob Stanley there.

Terrible news, George Michael has passed away (aged 53), expect a few classics to re-enter the Top 100.
You can't be serious?

Not 2016 taking another musical legend

Unfortunately yes, very sad.

Really hoping Careless Whisper or Faith can get to number one as a form of respect. Maybe even Last Christmas? I'm not sure what would be the best tribute to him though. So so sad :(.
I'd expect we'll see some of his tracks in this week's top fourty.

No :o :(

That's tragic, this year has just been the worst. Makes Last Christmas even more poignant.

Last Christmas as the year end No1? would be a nice tribute as it never got to the top spot

Just heard about George Michael, 2016 has been terrible for famous musicians passing away, but George Michael was hardly that old.

A Different Corner will be the most poignant track of his career, would love to see the track re-enter the charts. His solo material is exceptional.

I expect Careless Whisper will re enter the top twenty, and Last Christmas staying there another week.
I'd expect and hope Careless Whisper could get the iTunes number 1 at least for a while, or it could be Last Christmas (although that title has now has quite a morbid new meaning :/).

I expect Careless Whisper will re enter the top twenty, and Last Christmas staying there another week.

Faith will probably re enter as well I'd imagine

Hopefully there is a push for Last Christmas... Famously only an Xmas #2!

And already has huge streams, I would love if it could SOMEHOW be pushed to #1 next week.

Sad news about George Michael. A great artist with such a range of styles and diversity within his back catalogue. Hope a few of his tracks and albums can re-enter the charts.
