I don't think Clean Bandit have any chance of holding Ed off being #1 he will no doubt have a HUGE lead.

Sing pushed the #2 (Stay With Me) down to 0.2987 so considering this hasn't had any previous playing/illegal sales his latest single is bound to do some similar damage to that! I'd expect it could easily pass 15,000 iTunes sales on its first day.

But that was three years ago now, tastes change a lot in music at that time.

But Ed Sheeran is still a massive name, I'm pretty sure the UK aren't any less invested in Ed Sheeran than they were this time three years ago.

I know I know bad comparison but ed Sheeran is basically the male Adele

Fairly big first era

MASSIVE second era (albit he is bigger on singles)

So probably a big third era at least

Agree he's the male Adele and will be huge, Sam Smith is the male Emilie Sande.

Yeh which shows personality is huge in making the public invest in an artist!

Ed Sheeran is huge and I think he's possibly the biggest UK male artist at the moment. He will have a huge debut.
Yep. He'll also have his biggest era in the US too, I think! This is gonna be number 1 for at least 5 weeks (longer, depending on what surprise releases there may be). I can't see any of the songs gaining traction right now, actually gaining enough momentum to topple him at any point in the next few weeks, basically. Although he could just as easy do a Bruno and initially under perform, before actually stabilising and becoming a monster hit...
I literally laugh if there were like 7 #1s of 2017, they can't get any lower than 10 surely
 39. Water Under the Bridge - Adele

This deserves to be huge even though it won't be :(

It would be a huge as 'Hello' if it was a lead single!

The problem is the album has sold over 3 million copies, so strong streaming is the best chance of a hit (which has been superior to its sales so far anyway).

Still got the video to come and perhaps a performance or two? (BRITS?)

Has she done a video? It's Adele, chances is she won't.

All I am expecting in regards to a video for Water Under A Bridge is a live recording from her tour to be released. Set Fire To The Rain kinda proved Adele doesn't actually need videos to get people interested in her singles (at least not anytime soon).
I would say we may be onto a new single by the beginning of March - that's not to say she won't perform WUTB at the Brits!
