Not sure why Imagine Dragons released on a Tuesday - they'd be in with a shot at top 40 had they had a full week of sales :(

Songs are taking increasingly longer to take off so I guess release dates don't matter as much

It's still illogical to release on a day other than World Release Day.

345. Blondie - Fun

Awesome, I was expecting some new material from them as they have been added to British Summer Time, at Hyde Park in June, they are supporting Phil Collins.

 oooh, me like... on first listen :D

Would love to see them back at #1 before the the end of 2020, as they would have 5 #1's in five decades.

I cannot stand Debbie's voice. We had their greatest hits on at work the other week and I seriously wanted to cut my ears off.

Except they didn't have a #1 in the 00s.

I would expect the Train song will start being added to Spotify playlists and racking up more streams pretty soon, especially as it's doing really well on iTunes in the US as well.

I wouldn't say illogical. By releasing on a day other than Friday you might get more attention rather than being overshadowed by something else.

Looks like it could be #5 before long! It's been slowly being added to more and more less popular playlists around the world on Spotify, I've found that usually it being added to Australian and European playlists indicates an incoming UK and US push.
Play That Song is so bad. I love Drops of Jupiter and Hey, Soul Sister but this is just....bad. That sample makes it sound like a nursery rhyme. Of course the general public would love it.

The song is for a Super Bowl commercial that was previewed. Yes, we get previews of the advertisements playing during the big game, LOL!

I do find it funny how much America hypes up the commercials that play during the Super Bowl, it's like the equivalent of the John Lewis advert here though.
It's much more than the John Lewis advert  It's by far the most watched event on US TV and companies pay millions for a 30 second slot, it's unlike anything that would happen in the UK tbh.

Yeah Super Bowl ads are a much, much bigger deal than the John Lewis ad ever has been, I think there are actually quite a lot of people who watch the Super Bowl specifically for the ads.

Ooh another new London Grammar song ;o need to check that out ~ (up to #37 now)
