74. LP - Lost On You (discounted)

OH my f-ing GOD, can't believe it is really happening! after more than a whole year! after being my personal #1 in 2016 she's making it in UK!

she's adorable btw ^_^

Oh yess at Lorde making it back to the top 10

I really cannot understand Capital's decision to not playlist it, but I'm glad that doesn't seem to have *completely* killed it.

LP is on radio 2's playlist

It seems to be working ;)

About time that LP song finally made some sort of impact here.

I think if it gets an actual proper push it could be as big as Rag'n'Bone Man's 'Human' (which had a similarly slow start). She should go on Graham Norton or something.

Pleased Lorde is doing well - it's a real grower.

I looked at her chart history earlier - shocked to see she has only had 1 Top 20 (Royals) in the U.K - I always thought she had achieved a couple of decent sized hits.

They'll probably get someone on BGT to sing it (Lost on You), that would push it up.

Hopefully.

It was a huge number one in France last year (6 weeks) and was generally big all across Europe so I was surprised that they seemingly never gave it a try here, but I guess they're only now starting to attempt to push it outside of Europe.

I always find it ironic when someone sells out but then flops anyway.

Lorde smashed it and was playlisted on Capital even with her most wsoteric Tennis Courts!!

This commercial beige thing however has not been!

Royals and Team got playlisted but Tennis Court did not :magic:

Anyway, I hear Lorde is being snubbed simply because the boss of Capital doesn't like the song

Well that's a bit unprofessional of him

WTF! How is this even allowed? Totally unfairly!

You're joking! :o surely they'll see how well it's doing and see sense.

Has the boss ever done that before?

Sounds like Capital Punishment

Hoping with the latest boost it can stay Top 40 overall this week and continue to rise next week.

Here's a bit of advice for the boss of Capital, how about playing a new release song instead of those you are still playing that were released last year (and in some cases the year before) !

lol @ this Capital FM nobody thinking his taste is above everyone else's  only i'm allowed to do that

Brilliant that Lost On You is finally making headway :o not convinced it'll fully take off like Human, would need Radio 1 + the commercial stations to get behind it plus i can't see it doing much on streaming, fingers crossed for a future top 40 place though!

88 + 131. Michael Kiwanuka - Cold Little Heart

^ noticed this has been climbing as well, any reason?

I hope Lost On You can be a hit finally  Seems bizarre it hist most of Europe and is so accessible but success eluded it here. I know that happens to many songs but it just sounds like radio would eat it up.
