May 9, 20179 yr Harry is up to #7 or down to #10? Niall is safe in the t20? He'd be listed as a climber if he was up to #7 :magic: he's at #10, looking to stay there come Friday. Not sure about Niall, could be touch and go.
May 10, 20179 yr Hope GaGa can get a new peak eventually. She is too 10 on iTunes and not far off top 25 on Spotify. Shame Radio 1 have shunned it!
May 10, 20179 yr flopped, well deserved Can you call a song that's not had a vid release or promotion a flop? isn't it more a case of wait a see
May 10, 20179 yr Can you call a song that's not had a vid release or promotion a flop? isn't it more a case of wait a see In the context of "all of One Direction's singles were immediate #1s or top 3s so the solo things also have to be" bracket that the press will measure them by it probably is. See also the Spice Girls' immediate solo efforts 15 years ago. But taken on its own merits Niall has actually turned out some decent singles so far. And I'm not even a 1D fan! Once a video and some promo is out in the ether it will improve, provided it's not lost in a backwash of Harry and Liam releases.
May 10, 20179 yr It's much more difficult to get a top 3 single now than it was when the Solo Spices released. Although, if this Niall single misses the top 20, which is looking increasingly likely, then I would call that a flop.
May 10, 20179 yr Can you call a song that's not had a vid release or promotion a flop? isn't it more a case of wait a see It can hit the T10 later with the video or after Capital STB but for now it's flopping in the UK, so... -_- Edited May 10, 20179 yr by Rafael x

May 10, 20179 yr I find it ridiculous how people can label a single a flop just because it doesn't chart in the Top 20 on its first week of release. This isn't 2005
May 10, 20179 yr , pretty much impressed with Blondie's position, I was expecting it much lower than that. I was expecting better sales to be honest but glad it's top 5. Edited May 10, 20179 yr by common sense
May 10, 20179 yr I find it ridiculous how people can label a single a flop just because it doesn't chart in the Top 20 on its first week of release. This isn't 2005  I agree it's ridiculous, but for a band of 1D's stature the press will naturally criticise them more for not reaching the usual heights expected. Now we're getting closer to the last member coming out with solo stuff the negative spin and general backlash that replaces the initial excitement that greeted their first efforts outside the group will start to creep in. I've said this over on the "Who's the best solo so far" thread but I believe Niall will be the secret weapon success wise. The least has been expected of him and he's still the most relatable of them and so far I think he's bought out two really great singles. I mean this in the nicest possible way when I say he is the Emma Bunton of 1D!

Wasn't he generally always regarded as the one with the weakest voice?

May 10, 20179 yr I would have thought that Louis was the one with the least expected of him. Wasn't he generally always regarded as the one with the weakest voice? Yeah, but he always had more buzz than Niall did. Niall's my personal favourite 1D member but he was always the one who commanded the least attention out of the band overall.
May 10, 20179 yr Both Ed Sheeran and Rag N Bone Man are still achieving such healthy sales. Are Steps still top 10??
