NO OTHER SALES INFO

I think Kasabian have a good chance to take the #1 album on Friday, considering Gorillaz did well on sales of 44.4k for a #2 album, probably the week after Ed Sheeran will reclaim it.

I haven't bought Blondie's album yet as I have all their albums on CD, I just feel her voice is not what it used to be, but they do churn out some great albums still.

Kasabian's previous album, 48:13, from June 2014 debuted with 70k, which was a drop of ~20k from the album before in 2011, so ~50k seems in line with what they'll sell this week. I should think that'll just be enough to overtake Ed Sheeran.

So far, it seems like Blondie will be the second highest new entry; fingers crossed they can manage 6k or so to make the Top 10. Their last album shifted about 4k, which was boosted by a re-recorded Greatest Hits attached to it, but it seems the promo has been much stronger, as has their Radio 2 support, this time around.

Ed probably will reclaim the top spot the following week - I don't think Paramore have been on pre-order long enough or will gather enough sales to get there, given Ed could still be on 40k+, and I doubt Paul Weller will manage much more than 20k-25k either.

Ed probably will reclaim the top spot the following week - I don't think Paramore have been on pre-order long enough or will gather enough sales to get there, given Ed could still be on 40k+, and I doubt Paul Weller will manage much more than 20k-25k either.

Are you suggesting that Harry Styles will be outside the Top 3?

Can't believe I thought Niall was a natural blonde all these years.

His new track is much better than I was expecting - much better than the last one. Maybe a top 10er at some point.

Are you suggesting that Harry Styles will be outside the Top 3?

Completely overlooked Harry tbh! He'll be a contender too but, given Zayn managed about 22k, it might be a bit of a stretch for Harry to double those sales.

I can see Harry being much more of an albums artist than Zayn. He'll do double (give or take) what Zayn did 1st week I think. But then again, I thought his single would open up much bigger than what it eventually did though, so... I don't know! Definitely between Harry & Paramore that week anyway.

Blondie should get a safe top 5 with this album. Kasabian have number 1 more or less on lock I think. They deserve far less for that dreadful, DREADFUL artwork though!

I can see Harry opening with more than Zayn for sure but I'm just unsure he'll manage to double the figures and I can see Ed still shifting comfortably over 40k next week. I'm quite sure he'll have much better longevity though.
Paramore are ahead of Harry Styles on Amazon Pre-Orders at the moment

The majority of Harry's biggest fans would have pre-ordered the album directly through his website as it gave them pre-sale codes for his tour (which sold out in seconds). It will hopefully be given a boost by the Sign of the Times music video coming out on Monday too.

Ed probably will reclaim the top spot the following week - I don't think Paramore have been on pre-order long enough or will gather enough sales to get there, given Ed could still be on 40k+, and I doubt Paul Weller will manage much more than 20k-25k either.

Wellers last album sold 26k and the one before that 30k, with strong radio 2 support and a very loyal fan base this should hold up.

I think Harry might do a fair bit more than some of you are expecting. I can see around 35 - 45k being sold.
