773. Scooter – Bora! Bora! Bora!

Unfortunately its not going to do a Steps but more late 90s/early 00s acts making a comeback please!

This maybe would have stood a chance of becoming a hit in the 2014 big room house era especially after a track like Booyah became a hit as their sound is quite similar to some of the big room tracks back then.

Speaking of big room house, I do really wish its popularity in the charts had lasted longer.

I fail to see how it can, look at how rapidly both versions are falling away now.

It was selling about 4/5 times more than number 3 yesterday and is still selling 3 times it today.

Also it got to 11 based on just 2 days of sales (well when the song went into overdrive) so I don't think it's impossible for it to go too 10. I think whilst it is in dark red and has been for a while other than Despacito all the other songs aren't selling big numbers anyway

Lmao at that Little Mix flop!!!

Slaay Rita!

#7 for a 4th single from an album that's almost double platinum is anything but a flop. It's outperforming NMSS.

Edit: scratch that -- I just realised the poster.

They have the entire Cowell machine behind them and this is the best they have to offer! Hardly the Spice Girls.

It's remixed though so it's basically a new song - same plan as the last single and all the other album campaigns... it's higher because Stormzy is a bigger name

It's a shame Ari is dropping so much now. Hopefully she's done enough for an official Top 10 placing though!

11-11?

what is a Captain Ska and why is it so high?

(seems it's an anti-Tory campaign song)

It is! We want to force the BBTory to play it.

The BBC will probably briefly explain what the song is and then skip over it, that's if the song actually makes top 40 which I very much doubt considering its streams will be next to nothing.

I like the song, the summery tropical instrumentation of the chorus reminds me a bit of Clean Bandit particularly Come Over (ft Stylo G).

The vocal is good too.

Where is the Spice Girls 4th album? Where are their 14 certified hit singles? Spice Girls were a phenomenon to begin with (like, I doubt well ever see anything like them ever again) But their 3rd album tanked. Spice Girls were far bigger in the first two eras granted (but they are bigger than 90% of pop acts ever), but Little Mix are more consistent (and have longevity) with their success.

But I don't know why I'm bothering coz it's only gonna fall on deaf ears with you.

Its the same song with a couple lines changed that's hardly a new song unless you want more Sam smith situations

They also self-managed, weren't the darlings of Cowell's media friends (the opposite), didn't have Fix Factor buoying them, and they wrote all their own stuff and weren't pop puppets. Little Mix are bland, beige puppets.

Out of all the iLoons fan wars, I never thought I'd see Spice Girls vs Little Mix.

Spice Girls are incomparable. Their music, image and branding was so one-of-a-kind... Little Mix are definitely up there with GA and Sugababes as one of the best British girl groups of the 21st Century (I'd even remove the "British").
