Oh my god, Little Mix showed a lot of leg. Look at Rihanna & Christina Aguilera from the X Factor final back in 2010.

It doesn't need to matter what they wear does it?

Can we get back to iTunes discussion please?

Agreed with this tbh. It's the first thing I thought when they came out on stage :/

I mean one ankle is enough but TWO? TIMES BY FOUR? That's EIGHT ANKLES

Can you tell me the negative effects of Little Mix's outfits on kids? Cause I really can't think of any, it's not like they're all walking round the streets dressed identically...

I suppose you are right. I just thought acts that have high fanbases with kids probably should not be too raunchy but I suppose if it seems to go over their heads as you say then that's fine.

So? why can't kids see "raunchy" outfits? this kind of perception is what's damaging... not a bit of flesh

Its just that it is generally considered that anything aimed at kids should be tailored to be more innocent and less raunchy/sexualised, the latter being generally deemed for the adult market.

Think about the adult jokes that are in movies like Shrek or TV programmes like The Simpsons or Friends that kids loved back in the 90s and 00s - it goes over their heads, again!

It's just the same as video games being too violent or swearing on TV, these things happen in life and really every kid who plays GTA or whatever doesn't grow up to be murderer, it's not like waves of little girls are gonna go and whore themselves out because Little Mix's outfits were too short  If people are thinking of women that way for what they wear, it says a lot more about them than the "$l*t" wearing the outfit.

As someone who paid close attention to pop music from a young age, I never cared for how any of my favourites dressed (and I was a fan of Girls Aloud from age 6) and neither did any kids around me. People make it out to be a much bigger issue than it is really.

Swearing was more of an "issue" in music when you're a kid, as you often have no idea what you're hearing is rude, I know I repeated swear words unknowingly at a young age  (but that's another debate)

Fairly sure I sang the "stop being a twat" lyric from Lily Allen's Alfie in front of a teaching assistant in year 5

I always got away with saying that because my Mum only knew it as a pregnant fish

In terms of the notorious sexualised dance videos of the mid 00s thankfully I heard more of the music than saw the videos and even if I saw the videos I didn't really pay any attention to any sexualised stuff in the video much. I just thought the Call On Me video was a normal fitness video.

I didn't like Horny 98 though because of the use of the word 'horny', was actually surprised they were allowed to play that and it was a bit embarrassing hearing it back as a 6 year old child. Like the song now though.

People need to get over being offended by skin and bodies, we were all born naked, we all have the same parts. Get with 2017.

They didn't come out in messy, garish outfits, they were simple, fashionable, chic and happened to show some skin. Little Mix's outfits are often a hot f***ing mess (See Touch video), it's the best they've looked in some time.

How did you know what 'horny' meant when you were 6

It doesn't really matter what Little Mix wear does it? if people want to strengthen their fine motor skills while they are on TV singing then it can only be a good thing for the girl band. It doesn't make their music sound any better or worse.

I've been hearing this loads on Capital/R1 recently, it's such a banger I don't get why it's not doing anything yet??

Great to see Rita and Miley back in the top 5 😍
