October 16, 20177 yr They should have honestly waited to release this and released it on the week of his X Factor Peformance . Would have made much more sense . Edited October 16, 20177 yr by troylovesmusic
October 16, 20177 yr This honestly sounds like something I would have heard on the Bearville soundtrack :P That clicking at the start is reallly irritating as well :( I do hope it reaches the Top 40 for his sake though
October 17, 20177 yr It's quite a nondescript song to launch his solo career with, but it's nice enough. I just find it baffling that his label only managed to get him into 41st position on New Music Friday (Spotify)! :drama: An awful start for him.
October 17, 20177 yr not sure if it was an error on Spotify's part? cos now it's song #7 on the nmf playlist, I know it's useless as people only check it on Friday but alas
October 17, 20177 yr No kidding I quite like this. Of course as this is a pop song that I like, that's probably a kiss of death for it. The thing I'm most surprised by is they havent given him another makeover to launch his new music with. Maybe they are actually HOPING for him to get confused with Louis Tomlinson now.
October 20, 20177 yr Debuts at 83 on the official uk charts ...And now reduced to 59p on iTunes and still struggling to gain any ground.
November 2, 20177 yr The intro to the video in Spanish is just... no. He is not Spanish nor does he have Spanish heritage. He's making it really difficult to get behind as an artist because he's trying to be so many different things at the same time. I'd be more interested to see if "When Christmas Comes Around" makes a return to the charts or gets any major playlist-backing this year (not that I like it!) as this single and the album clearly aren't going to do anything.
June 4, 20187 yr Dropped from Syco Awaiting the Louisa announcement now. Syco never signed him, he was signed to RCA. Can't believe he is playing Alex the Lion :P
June 4, 20187 yr Well RCA really messed his career up then. Not that he would've been the next Olly Murs or anything but the material they gave him and the album campaign was terrible. And people wonder why X-Factor ratings are dropping so much, the show just cannot produce a star anymore. Watch Rak-Su be screwed over next.
June 4, 20187 yr He didn't have *much* of a chance anyway, like cqm said there wasn't really a lot to him but what's so stupid about all these failures is that they just don't try with the acts, and if they do (Ella and Fleur for example) they get it for one single and expect the follow-up to smash off the back of it with little effort applied, and then they get dropped when every song isn't as big as Ghost or Sax. All these people go on the show and say "I what to be the next Beyonce" or whatever but they'll struggle to be the next Louisa Johnson
June 5, 20187 yr By no means a shock, they never really got behind him. X Factor need to realise that the only way to stop the decline in the ratings is for the winners to have a career or at least show they are supporting the winners careers. If they focused less on the judging panel and changing the format and focused more on the contestants people may start to take an interest again.
