Great to see Arcade Fire doing ok in iTunes, id love this to go top 40. Its a promising sign for the new album to be in with a shot of number 1. They are such a great band, havnt had any huge hit yet which is a shame but at least their albums do ok.
Yeah, fair play to Rita's team for giving it such a strong push, you can't really criticise that. People aren't forced to download or stream anything, regardless of position or price.

Yeah, I agree actually -- I wasn't disputing that at all. My point was basically what Joe said; it's done well, but I still wouldn't consider its longevity unexpected or 'incredible' given the constant push it's gotten since release.

The 59p is arranged in order of the charts, defaze!

Ah, I see! Makes sense.

I don't think anyone remembers the version of 'One For Sorrow' that was on the flipside of 'Chain Reaction'. It wasn't even promoted much at the time.

One For Sorrow is one of Steps biggest songs so I'm pretty sure people do remember it

He's talking about the version of the song included as the double A-side to 'Chain Reaction'.

'One For Sorrow' of course got to #2 in its own right previously and the

is well remembered by pop fans.

That Kamaliya track is hilariously awful. Sounds like it's stolen the drop from early Martin Garrix stuff.

The drop was such a disappointment, the verses were very good with their 00s eurodance style production but the drop ruins the track a bit :(

I still prefer it to the likes of than Maggie Lindemann - 'Pretty Girl' (Cheat Codes Remix) or Mama by Jonas Blue.

Sheeple do my head in.

They wouldn't have even entertained an Enrique Span track if it weren't all the rage. Sheeple.

Enrique is incredible and deserves another chart hit, He had a hit with I'm A Freak in 2014 which wasn't that long ago.

7. Enrique Iglesias - SÚBEME LA RADIO (REMIX) [feat. Sean Paul & Matt Terry]

32. Kamaliya - Make Me Feel

72. PRETTYMUCH - Would You Mind

184. A-Trak - Believe (feat. Quavo & Lil Yachty)

Kamaliya's husband back at it with the chart hyping :drama:

I really want her to go full eurotrance next time, like something from 2002 drop and all, as is quite a nostalgic sound that could do well, and that could actually get some more sales from people outside her fanbase that are buying this one.

Kamaliya's husband has nothing on the OCC in manipulating the charts

her "fanbase" consists mostly of her husband.

On average how long does it take most songs to peak after they get released?

On itunes or on the official chart? I know on the official chart now it is about 3-4 weeks usually with the new rules.

I was thinking more of the Official chart but I guess the same thing could be said about the iTunes chart as well. I notice a lot of newly released songs dropping very fast on iTunes a couple of days after they get released and then they start appearing high all of a sudden some time later.

Official Chart-wise, I'd say about 6-8 weeks. Downloads, 4-6 weeks.

 08. Luis Fonsi - Despacito [Now! version]

 20. The Script - Rain

 28. Semi Lovato - Sorry Not Sorry

Can see The Script and Demi Lovato songs being big top 10s.
